Research On The Environmental Protection System Of The International Seabed Area

According to the UN Convention on the Law of the Sea,international seabed areas and their resources are the commonly inherited property of mankind.With the continuous improvement of the marine science and technology,human activity in developing and utilizing the international seabed area is growing,which lead to the more and more serious marine environment pollution and ecological destruction,although the UN Convention on the Law of the Sea and some international conventions have regulated human activities in exploiting ocean resources,how to prevent the ocean environment from polluting during the whole exploration of the area has been a question which shouldn't be ignored in the world,this is mainly due to the laws and regulations for the international seabed area environmental protection system is still not perfect,some rules are even ambiguous.In particular,at present,the legislation of protecting the environment of the international seabed area in our country is still in a state of blank,it is important to strengthen the protection of the environment of the Area and establish and perfect the system of our ocean en-vironmental protection so as to avoid taking too much risk as the guarantor.The research on the legal system for environmental protection of the international seabed,this paper mainly includes the following parts:the first part,the introduction.Researching how to protect the environment of "the Area" and determining the basic studying framework;the second part is summarize of the international seabed area.On the basic of introducing some rules,the parallel system and legal status about "the Area",according to the laws and regulations of the UN Convention on the Law of the Sea,marine environment pollution and other international convention,putting forward legal basic of environment protection;the third part aims to analyze some institutions' obligation of environmental protection during the development process and point out the disadvantages of the development of "the Area";the fourth part designs to give my suggestions;last part:make a summary to the research contents and ways and the main conclusion of this text,and point out deficiencies of this paper and its perspective.
