A Study Of The Changes In The Position Of Egypt On The Palestine-Israel Issue During The Sadat Period

This paper bases on the relationship between Egypt and Israel since Israelite had set up their country at 1948.The paper,under the framework of form logic,focus on the analysis about that Israel's tough foreign policies how to reconstruct the Egypt to change the Anti-Israel stance and shift the cognitive process about Israel In Anwar Sadat's ruling period,especially after the October War.This Paper consists of four parts.The first part introduces Israel's tough foreign policies and Egypt's Original position,including the tough foreign policies and altitudes to Egypt and the whole Arab World in national legitimacy,territorial claims,the Jerusalem issue and so on,as well as Egypt's firmly official altitudes about aforementioned problems.The second part clarifies the theoretical framework,which the theoretical core of power constructivism is three premises that power relations shift to the norms:persistent power relations,benefit return,and isolating views that different from influencers.If so,restrictive norms formed by power relations might translate to constructive norms.The third part bring up the research hypothesis:the power relations between Egypt and Israel have these aforementioned conditions.Therefore,Egypt's cognition on Israel have shifted from restrictive norms to the constructive norms.Next,this paper demonstrates Egypt's position changes on palestine-israel problem.compared with the original position,Egypt recognized Israel's national legitimacy,claimed political negotiation,compromised in the territorial integrity.The forth part is conclusion.This part completely introduces the research question,the research hypothesis and the process of argumentation.This paper constructs an assumption with a form logic between Israel's tough foreign policies and Egypt's changing cognition.This assumption not only provides a new analysis perspective to study the Egypt's cognition changes on palestine-israel problem,but also provides some new possibilities to peacefully solve the palestine-israel problem.
