The Status And Response Of The Climate Refugee Problem In Bangladesh

In recent years,the phenomenon of refugees or population displacements due to natural disasters or environmental degradation has also become one of the major problems of the international community.The impact of climate change in Bangladesh is large,and climate refugees are particularly serious,not only imposing a significant burden on the socio-economic development of the country in Bangladesh,resulting in numerous negative impacts,but also becoming an unstable factor in the region.Over the past decade,however,Bangladesh has taken various measures to address the problem of climate refugees and has achieved certain results.This paper is divided into two parts: the current situation of the problem of climate refugees in Bangladesh and the measures to find an effective way to solve the problem of climate refugees.This paper,first of all,considers that Bangladesh's vulnerability to climate change has made Bangladesh difficult to withstand climate change and its negative impacts,resulting in a decline in human survival resources in the areas with strong vulnerability in Bangladesh,and the rapid deterioration of the living environment of mankind.By devastating damage,people in these areas of Bangladesh are forced to flee their homes,and the Government and society of Bangladesh do not have the capacity to relocate them so that these people eventually become climate refugees.The second part discussed in detail the measures taken by Bangladesh to address the problem of climate refugees and tried to evaluate its effectiveness.Bangladesh's main policies and initiatives addressing climate refugees include both international and domestic levels.Bangladesh's initiatives to address climate refugees may be divided into two ways: preventive measures before the emergence of climate refugees and post-disaster resolution measures.Through the analysis of the current situation and response measures of the climate refugees in Bangladesh,this paper finds that vulnerability is a key factor in addres sing the problem of climate refugees and that,for developing countries with a strong vulnerability,the key to addressing climate refugees is to take measures to reduce vulnerability,In particular,international assistance was to be sought,followed by post-disaster resettlement after the emergence of climate refugees.
