Research On The Brexit Negotiations In The UK

Economic globalization is an inevitable trend in the world.Except from the United States,the European Union(the EU)has become one of the most important economic organizations in the world after decades of development,even in comparison with the United States.The EU plays a decisive role not only in politics but also in international economy,culture and military stage.The European Union integration process has been a hot topic for decades in the whole world.However,during the process of EU integration,Britain announced that it would be out of the EU through the referendum in 2016,and this referendum and the result have aroused great concern around the world.In 2017,the United Kingdom submitted the European Union document to the European Union under the fiftieth Lisbon treaty,and officially began the negotiation between Britain and the European Union.This paper uses the theory of suspicion theory to analyze the historical reasons for Britain's departure from Europe and the results of exiting from the EU voting.The paper analyzes the process of the negotiation between Britain and the European Union through the international organization theory.There are total six rounds in phase I,three main issues are the cost for Britain to departure from the EU,the rights of the EU citizens in UK and the Northern Ireland border.The main issues are the relationship between Britain and the EU during the transition period and the substantive relationship negotiation between the UK and the EU.The current transition period has been basically determined but the details of substantive relationship in the future remain to be negotiated.At present,the negotiation faces with thorny issues such as the Northern Ireland border,the relationship in the transition period.During the negotiation,Britain and the EU have much disagreement on the core issues.This paper analyzes the core difficult issues and use the theory of international organization to prospect the cooperation mode and relationship between Britain and the EU.Through the analysis,we know the diversity and complexity of the negotiation content,the debate between the parties in Britain and members in the EU,which lead the negotiation process full of difficulty.As the deadline for the two years negotiation is drawing near,the expected time and difficulty for the future negotiation will be over much than people's expectation.In view of the fact that Britain is geographically in Europe and the status of the former EU member,the relationship between Britain and the EU will be very delicate and complex,and it is kind of both aloof to the EU but much more intimate than the rest countries of the world.
