In recent years, global governance of climate issues has become an important subject for countries to exert international influence and show their national strength. As an active impellor in global governance of climate change, the UK first published a white paper on green energy development in 2003 which firstly proposed the concept of "low-carbon economy" in the world. The UK then became an active leader and promoter of climate governance, becoming the world's first climate legislator, and in 2009 it proposed a detailed strategy for a comprehensive transition to a low-carbon future. In the course of Cameron's government, the country mapped out the economic development strategy with developing green energy as its core. And around this core, the Cameron's government proposed several green energy policies that promote green energy development to achieve economic growth and develop green energy technology as the core of green energy development. At home, the UK government promoted the Green Deal, implemented electricity reform and set up the Green Investment Bank.In foreign countries, the UK government took action and gave policy support by participating in international multilateral cooperation mechanism;leading international multilateral cooperation mechanism and conducting bilateral green energy diplomacy.According to the analysis of the UK green energy policy in the period of Cameron government, this paper makes two cases study on its international cooperation with developing countries in green energy. The cooperation with China shows that the Cameron government conducted international cooperation through comprehensive green-energy-technology diplomacy with major developing countries. The international cooperation between Britain and South Africa is a typical case that UK conducts green energy technology cooperation through financial intervention. After analyzing two cases,we can figure out that under the support of the UK's green energy policy, the government has made deliberation in international green energy cooperation and conducted international cooperation with the means of green energy diplomacy and financial intervention. In such ways, the UK has achieved green economic growth in the course of Cameron government. When David Cameron was in charge of the government, the UK has actively carried out international cooperation in the field of green energy.O n the one hand, the UK promoted the transformation of domestic economic development model;on the other hand, the UK expanded its influence and power in the international community, promoting green energy to spread all over the world.
