With the development of information era, people have gradually realized the importance of estimation in daily life and other fields, so many countries in the world have paid more attention in training children’s estimating ability. Now more researches are about making cognition of the estimation of adults and children above5years old, but not young children’s. And there is no researches concerning that how to foster the estimation of children. Therefore, this research designed two sub-studies. Study I tried to analyze the estimate accuracy, the estimate patterns and strategy of estimate of children of middle class in kindergartens. And choosing the ones whose estimate pattern fitting log function as the subjects of Study Ⅱ, Study Ⅱ could investigate what kinds of experiences having effect on developing children’s estimate. This research did not only enrich the theories on Educational Psychology and Cognitive Psychology, but also developed the theories on children’s estimate domestic and overseas. Which deserving to emphasize is that this research tries to find out an intervene plan to help kindergarten teachers’work and enhance children’s ability of estimate.Study I randomly picked up121children of4-5years old, and taking the number line estimation to investigate children’s accuracy of estimate, patters of estimate and strategies of estimate. Study Ⅰ has concluded that:1. there is significant difference in accuracy of estimate in different ranges of0~10number line. Children estimating small numbers and middle numbers in0-10is more accurate than big numbers, and there is no gender differences between thses three ranges;2. the estimate pattern of children in middle class do not only fit to log function, but also fit to Hear function;3. children have used there strategies in estimating. The method of guessing has been used the most times. Different strategies have significant effect on estimate patterns. Children who using counting estimation fit more to linear function.Based on the conclusion of Study Ⅰ, Study Ⅱ picked up60children whose estimation fit to log function, and randomly divided them into two groups; experimental group subjects played number board games, while the control group subjects played color board games. After half month’s training, take the test to see which plan is better. The conclusion is that playing number board games could enhance children’s accuracy in estimating, while playing color board games could not.
