Cross-Straits share the same root and source, have long attached great importance to the use of Wushu educational function, many martial artists from Taiwan have come to Shandong province root its source, through Wushu exchange activites enhance connection between Taiwan and mainland also promote the development of Wushu. However, in decades of development Wushu in Taiwan and mainland China formed their own unique forms and ideas due to different socio-political and historical factors. In order to promote Wushu development of Shandong and Taiwan University towards more prosperous, this research paper elaborates on topics including Shandong and Taiwan University's Wushu training objectives, Wushu courses, associations and competitons. Detailed knowledge of Shandong and Taiwan Universtiy's Wushu current status and issues are analyzed and classified through literature review, expert interview, and field and comparison research.Conclusion includes the following:(1)In comparison, Wushu training objectives are more diverse and beneficial for student's personal professional development in Taiwan;(2)Shandong and Taiwan Wushu development focuses differently on competitive and traditional Wushu. Knowledge on cultural heritage and educational function can be strengtheded;(3)Shandong and Taiwan University Wushu association management and education have rooms for improvement in regards to integration and utilization of resources;(4)Wushu competitions held by Shandong and Taiwan does not provide enough participation and communication opportunities for interested student parties.Suggestions and Possible Solutions:(1)Diversify Wushu training objectives for students, conform these objectives to current society, technonlogy and industry development. Provide improved training for students to expand their future opportunities in areas such as, security industry, Wushu performance, Wushu design, plice force training, Wushu industry management;(2)Revive traditional cultural Wushu education. Wushu isn't purely focused on attach and defense techniques, it emphasizes both physical and psychological improvement, university should focus and guide students on how to learn, understand, conduct Wushu and appreciate its high moral values, Wushu act as an invisible restrain and guide to people's actions, the highest ovjective to Wushu isn't competitiveness, the word is combine by “stop” and “weapon”;(3)Improve university's Wushu association quality and development, Wushu is not solely targeted towards Wushu professions, in order to promote Wushu, Wushu associations must positively influence the public;(4)Create and establish Wushu competitions, competitions can increase students' interest and passion, improve communication and exploration thus result in development and integration of Wushu knowledge and techniques. Wushu competitions also provide opportunities and challenges for students to communicate and mature as one.
