Expectation is the possibility that an individual expects his behavior in a particular task to success or failure.There are many studies in the field of primary and secondary education;but most of them are focused on the effect of teachers' expectation and parents' expectation on the students.By the method of quantitative and qualitative research,this study has investigated the inner structure of junior middle school students' self academic expectation and developed the Junior Middle School Students' Self Academic Expectation Questionnaire.And then by the method of stratified random sampling,we choose a public middle school,a private middle school and a rural middle school from the urban and rural areas to search the junior middle school students' self academic expectation and the self-control in learning,altogether 1300 subjects.After the investigation,we use descriptive statistics test,T test,variance analysis and other methods to analyse the collected data;Finally,by the method of correlation analysis,regression analysis,we analyse the relation of the junior middle school students' self academic expectation and the self-control in learning.Through a series of statistical analysis and discussion,the results are as follows:1.The junior middle school students' self academic expectation was mainly inspected through learning attitude expectations,academic expectations behavioral expectations;The junior middle school students' self academic expectation includes three dimensions,16 items,and the questionnaire has acceptable reliability and validity.2.The junior middle school students' self academic expectation is a little more than the middle level in the the general situation;and shows significant differences in school,sex,grades variables,particularly differences include:First:the junior middle school students' self academic expectation has school differences.The urban public middle school students are significantly lower than private middle school students and rural middle school students,rural middle school students in learning behavioral expectations is significantly higher than the urban private schools students.Second:The junior middle school students' self academic expectation has gender differences.girls are significantly higher than boysThird:The junior middle school students' self academic expectation has grade differences.the first-grade students are significantly higher than second-grade students and third-grade students(except learning attitude expectations)3.The junior middle school students' self-control in learning is a little more than the middle level in the the general situation;And shows significant differences in school,sex,grades variables,particularly differences include:First:The junior middle school students' self-control in learning has school differences.The urban public middle school students are significantly higher than private middle school students,rural middle school students are significantly higher than private middle school students,and there are no significant difference between the urban public middle school students and rural middle school studentsSecond:The junior middle school students' self-control in learning has gender differences.Girls are significantly higher than boys.Third:The junior middle school students' self-control in learning has grade differences.the first-grade students on total scale are significantly higher than second-grade students and third-grade students;On the dimension of self sontrol strategy,third-grade students are significantly higher than second-grade students,there are no significant difference among the total scale?the dimension of the sense of self control and self-control tendency.4.There are marked positive correlation existing between the junior middle school students' self academic expectation and self-control in learning?all dimensions of self-control in learning;And the junior middle school students' self academic expectation can forecast self-control in learning?all dimensions of self-control in learning;There are marked positive correlation exist between all dimensions of the junior middle school students' self academic expectation and self-control in learning?all dimensions of self-control in learning;Learning attitude expectations,learning behavior expectations can forecast self-control in learning?all dimensions of self-control in learning;Academic expectations can not forecast self-control inlearning?all dimensions of self-control in learning.
