School readiness refers that preschool children need to have a variety of key characteristics or basic conditions in order to be able to benefit from the upcoming formal school education.This research is divided into five areas: physical health and life habits,social development,language development,learning methods and learning habits,basic knowledge.This research uses questionnaire and interviewing method to study current situation and features of school readiness in grade one to analyze the reasons and to put forward pointed education compensation strategies.Through questionnaire investigation to 492 students' parents,scores between different fields from high to low are found to be basic knowledge,language development,physical health and life habits,social development,learning method and learning habits.According to the results of independent samples T test and variance analysis,the age of student,family structure,household register,social identity,the condition of accepting preschool education,parents' cultural degree observably affect school readiness.However,the gender of children,the nature of the preschool education institutions before enrollment,the condition of family upbringing,the situation of accepting entrance training do not have an obvious impact on school readiness.Through questionnaire research and interview to 7 teachers,it is found that school readiness of new students has following 7 features.Firstly,the school readiness of the fields of language development and basic knowledge are more adequate than other fields;Secondly,7-year-old children' s school readiness in the field of basic knowledge is better than 6-year-old children;Thirdly,in the field of language development,learning methods and learning habits,basic knowledge,urban children's school readiness is better than rural children' s;Fourthly,rural migrant workers' children have poor school readiness in the field of basic knowledge;Fifthly,non-only children' s schools are inferior to only child;Sixth,children whose parents with lower degree are inadequate in school readiness;Seventh,children who stay at home one year before the enrollment are significantly lower than the students who have took part in the institutional education in the aspect of language development and basic knowledge.In view of the poor school readiness of special children,this research puts forward education compensation recommendations as follows.Firstly,from the perspective of the study habits,provide education support for younger children;Secondly,promote the development of language ability for rural children in order to make them to adapt primary school in the city.Thirdly,create a positive classroom atmosphere and help the poor rural migrant workers' children to be ready for school adaption.Fourthly,Strengthen the parent-school cooperation,provide education support for ill-prepared and not only children who live in city.Fifthly,patience to help children' s school readiness who has poor family capital.
