Research On Eye Movement Characteristics Of Table Tennis Special College Students In Serving Pre-judgment

Table tennis is our country's traditional advantages project, as the skills of leading the nets confrontational project, "play the first three" is very important for table tennis athletes. Chinese table tennis has focused in the international arena, and it is closely related to Chinese table tennis athletes' advantage in “the first three".This study adopts research paradigm of "expert-novice", experimental instruments produced by the U.S. ASL Eye-trac6 ASL-H6 head mounted eye tracker and eye movement, analysis the eye movement characteristics of table tennis athletes pre-judge to serve spin and placement. All participants are selected from Chengdu Sport Institute, a total of 24 people, 12 in the group of experts(College students achieved national second-level in table tennis),12 in novice group(took general table tennis course but not professional trained), presenting participants s "from each other ready to toss the ball racket contact moment "," ready to toss the ball from the other side of the first contact table "," ready to toss the ball from the other side of the net leap above "these three different serve time video, collecting behavior indexes and eye movement characteristics indexes of the participants and make a comprehensive analysis, discussion of the expert group and novice participants of table tennis ball spin and placement of the pre-judgment ability. Based on table tennis major students in different time reaction time and correct rate, and the relationship between visual search pattern and behavioral responses of table tennis players, accumulated data for related research, and also for serve in the teaching and training of table tennis, provide a theoretical basis.Conclusion:(1) in the balance between speed and accuracy, the expert group was more focused on the accuracy of pre-judge, which the correct rate is guaranteed at the expense of the reaction.(2) Different period video affect the service rotation(Spin/ Not spin) pre-judge of the participants. "From the other side ready to toss the ball contact instant shot" and "ready to toss the ball from the other side of the net leap above" these two video tasks to serve spin pre-judge is crucial.(3) Different period video affect the service placement pre-judge of the participants. "From the other side ready to drop to the ball first contact table" video on Service Placement pre-judge is crucial, expert participants pre-judge the ball contact the table for second time as early as the ball first contact the surface.(4) Expert group and novice group participant's have significant differences in the characteristics of eye movement. The fixation track of novice group participants disorder, mess, have much point of view, watch parts, watch a short time; and the fixation track of expert participants are more orderly, the fixation point at site less, but watch a longer time. Participants in expert group pay more attention to directly associated with the service action location information.Suggestions:(1) During the competition, while the athletes cannot make accurate judgments of the coming ball,he should take cautious receiving strategies, may wish to observe the flight path of the ball and then make the corresponding coping strategies, avoid taking hasty action, so as to premature losing marks.(2) As to develop pre-judgment ability of serve spin in teaching and training, teachers or coaches should train the athletes pay attention to the moment when the ball contact with the racket and the flight path of the ball after it first contact the table.(3) In the process of teaching and training the ability to pre-judgment the placement of the ball, teachers or coaches should train the athletes focus on the position of the ball for the first time it contact the table.(4) In the process of developing college students and athletes ‘ ability to pre-judgment serving the ball, we should train athletes' ability to extract effective information in the game, that is, to focus on the position that the ball contact the racket, the part of the racket that hit the ball, the swing direction of the arm which hold the racket, the direction of the wrist which hold the racket, the flying arc of the ball after it contact the table for the first time, etc. To ensure that make an accurate judgment of the character of the serve, and to take corresponding receiving strategies.
