The soul of the mathematics is mathematics thought.The symbolic-graphic combination ideas have been plays an irreplaceable role in numerous mathematical thought.It through the clever union of abstract mathematical language and intuitive geometric shapes makes many math problems become more image.Apply the symbolic-graphic combination ideas flexibility not only can simplified mathematical problems and improve the efficiency of middle school classroom teaching, but also can train your thinking and promote the all-round development of the students.This article is written in the research of the related pedagogy and psychology, on the basis of the middle school mathematics teaching material and the new curriculum standard, and combining the predecessors' research results about combining numbers with shapes.In this paper, first of all,make a basic defining for the related concepts through the literature research;Then, the author introduces the application of the symbolic-graphic combination ideas in solving the following ten kinds of the math problems :collection, function, equation and inequality, linear programming, sequence,vectors and analytic geometry, solid geometry, derivative and definite integral, in order to draw the attention of the teachers and students;And through the detailed investigation of several local high school teachers and students' awareness of the symbolic-graphic combination, analyzes some of the shortcomings in teaching and learning, and accordingly put forward some ways to how to "learning" method,such as, reasonable use of mind mapping, master the basic graphics, learn basic skills, and come up with how to "teach" strategy,for example,strengthen the cooperative learning, rational utilization of the CAI, effective permeability the history of mathematics, highlight the center of the article;Finally,combining the teaching case analysis prove that the method of the previously mentioned is effective, and it also provides a new way of thinking for explore the new teaching mode.
