The junior high school biology textbooks, which are developed on the basis of curriculum standards, are the most important curriculum resources, which can not be ignored to achieve the goal of teaching. Biology is a door to experimental based discipline, the Compulsory Education Biology Curriculum Standards (2011 Edition) clearly put forward to improve the students' scientific literacy of biology curriculum and experimental biology is a key part for the student to form the biological scientific literacy.As a result, the setting of the biological experiment has a direct impact on the realization of educational goals.Through the existing literature and information research, found that the junior high school biology teaching materials in the experimental setting is relatively weak,and the great significance of the material writing affect the biological experiment was ignored.Thus,this research compared the biology (2012 Edition),the most popular one under the 21st century's China's new curriculum reform,with Life Science (2008 Edition),the core science textbook of American middle school in 21st century.Grasping the trend of the reform of junior middle school biology curriculum in China and America, and analyze the design features of biology experiment in teaching materials.To examine the biological experiment in teaching materials in the international perspective,and draw lessons from the advantages of the United States.Through all this to promote the compiling of junior high school biology textbooks in China to meet the international standards, and on this basis to provide advice for the implementation of the new curriculum and the preparation of biological materials.This research aimed at the experimental part of biology teaching materials using literature analysis method, comparative study method, content analysis method, statistical method and other research methods under the compare of curriculum standard of the two country,analysis and research in the three dimensions of the two sets of textbooks from the selection,the edit to the way of showing the experimental contents.And analysis the biology textbook selection and distribution of the experimental materials, experimental materials, instruments, experimental columns, experimental type, experimental structure, experimental illustrations and experimental representations, etc deeply.According to comparative studies, the two sets of textbooks of biology experimental setup of the two country showed the following characteristics:in the content selection, both countries have set up a large number of experiments, the number in the United States is more than China, the focus of the experiment are also different.American teaching materials for the selection of experimental materials are also far more than our country, and has a clear tend for lifestyle products. In the experiment content arrangement, our country's column is more abundant, in the demonstration experiment type is more than the United States, but in the experimental type and lifestyle is weaker than the United States, especially in the family experiment and the network experiment.Experiments on the two textbooks are interspersed within the body with integrity, our teaching and experimental structure is strong, but experimental textbooks in the United States in the layout is more uniform, in the inquiry experiment the US is more instructive.In the expression of experimental content,the experimental illustration in our textbook is more than the US but the authenticity is weaker than the United States,in the way of statement, the United States pay more attention to teaching and closes the distance between teachers and students,more affinity and the statements of experimental safety are quite mature.Through the analysis of theresults of the experimental parts of the two sets of junior high school biology textbooks, and considering the true conditions of our new curriculum reform, puts forward some suggestions to the teacher and the revision of textbooks in junior high school in China in biology.For the revision of textbooks:first make the experimental setting full of lifestyle, strengthen the links with real life,second improve the structure and enhance the inquiry of the experiment,third strengthen the development and construction of cyber source, construction of three-dimensional teaching material,last pay attention to the safety of the lab, increase the safety education.For the teacher:first select experimental equipment flexibly, second adjust measures to local conditions to improve the experiment plan and materials, third good at using the network resources and material resources abroad, last pay attention to safety consciousness to strengthen class. Hope to provide some reference for the preparation of Chinese Textbooks of junior high school biology experiment and experimental teaching, and then through the educational efforts of all parties, perfect the preparation of junior high school biology experiment, to better serve the teaching of biology.
