Biological science is a discipline that studies the biological phenomena and the laws of life activities,and plays an important role in training students' scientific literacy.The curriculum reform of our country clearly puts forward that we should strengthen and improve the teaching of biology experiment,and the textbook is "rely on" and "proof" of the reform of the teaching,which lays the foundation for our teaching objective.In this study,through the comparison of junior high school textbooks in both countries,the characteristics of the experimental parts of the two sets of textbooks are analyzed.In this paper,using the method of literature and comparative examples of law,on the junior high school biology curriculum standards between the two objectives were compared,analysis of the experimental part of the two textbooks,from the experimental columns,number and distribution,experimental content design,experimental materials and appliances,experiment five safety comparative analysis.Draw the following conclusions:1.In respect of the experimental column,there are some shortcomings in the PEP Textbooks,such as too complicated column setting and lack of system.The introduction of experimental columns in American textbooks is clear and the experimental activities are classified in a reasonable and orderly way.2.In respect of the number and distribution of experiments,Chinese and American textbooks have designed a large number of experimental activities and focused on the cultivation of students' experimental ability.But laboratory experiments and mini-experiments in American textbooks can foster students' scientific abilities.In the distribution of the chapters,the American textbooks distribute the experimental content on average,and the cultivation of the exploration ability is carried out into every chapter,which is more consistent with the rules of teaching and is more conducive to the cultivation of learning ability.However,the experimental activities of PEP Textbooks have no obvious regularity in the arrangement.3.In respect of experimental content design,the two textbooks advocate inquiry learning,PEP Textbooks guide students to think and read.It is a kind of "quiet" state,while the United States version of the textbook is more let students "move",this is more in line with junior high school students' personality characteristics,but also more conducive to the improvement of students' scientific literacy.4.In respect of experimental materials and appliances,both Chinese and American textbooks involve laboratory instruments and household articles.The PEP Textbooks are more emphasis on the former,and the American textbooks emphasize the latter.In the introduction of materials and tools,PEP Textbooks are more concise and the American textbooks are more detailed.5.In respect of the experimental safety comparison,American textbooks pay more attention to safety education in experimental activities,but the experimental safety education in PEP Textbooks is obviously insufficient.According to the above conclusions,this paper puts forward some suggestions on the compilation of the experimental part of biology textbooks for junior high school students in China from three aspects: column setting,experimental content design and experimental safety education.
