The design of curriculum content is the core of curriculum design, the property of physics curriculum decides the design of physics curriculum content to guide the students to mainly acquire the basic achievements of human cognition, a theoretical and systematic knowledge. Textbook as a important carrier with which student learn knowledge, It is one of the most important forms of curriculum, the selection and organization of the knowledge content of textbook have a large extent influence in curriculum implementation and its effectiveness,which make a important influences in the process of knowledge construction and the cognitive development of students. the textbook is mainly the basis on teachers' teaching,which providing foundation, reference for teachers to develop curriculum resources. A comparative study on the textbooks can improve teachers' ability of analyzing textbook, guide teachers deeply understand design intention of the textbook, implement the idea of curriculum design, draw lessons from foreign excellent teaching ideas, methods, be propitious to arise new ideas and new insights for teacher, stimulate teacher to produce the creative thinking of teaching. So, the quality of the compilation of physics textbooks, directly affect the implementation of physics curriculum.Gravitation is one of the greatest discovery of natural science in seventeenth Century. The "electric field" is one of the core content of the theory of electro magnetics. Mechanical and electromagnetism project is an important part of learning physics in high school, law of gravity and electric field is based on the inheritance of scientific culture and further study physics for students.Study selecting the UK's representative physics text book:((the AQA Physics A)) and Chinese physics textbooks published by People's Education Press for senior high students, the research object is the theme of the law of universal gravitation and electric field, Through the translation of AQA textbook and the construction of concept map,try to find a different method of analysis textbook, put forward the concept of knowledge sequence and knowledge span.Based on concept map,the paper analysis the selection and organization of the knowledge content of Gravitation and Electric field object from the knowledge sequence, the knowledge breadth, the knowledge depth, the knowledge span.In the comparative study of the law of universal gravitation project, Chinese and Britain textbook has the following differences:1. Chinese and Britain physics textbooks have different line which is the force and field; 2. the force and the field is respectively the main line of Chinese and UK's text book compilation; the logic of textbook compilation is the difference which is reduction to absurdity and deduction in inverse square law; 3.the same knowledge content have distinctly different requirement of the cognitive level for students.In the comparative study of the electric field project, Chinese and Britain textbook has the following differences:1. Chinese Textbook take "charge" and "field" as core, paying attention to static analysis of the "capacitor"; AQA Textbook take "field" and "capacitor" as the core, emphasizing dynamic analysis of the "capacitor"; 2. Design of chapters of Chinese Textbook is used by spiral design, but important concept uses a linear design, Design of chapters of AQA textbook is used by linear design, important concepts uses a variety of organizations, pay attention to the concept of relative independence.3. AQA textbook is harder than Chinese textbook; 4. AQA textbook emphasize analogy and migration of "electric field" and "gravity field". Therefore, the research summarizes two project, draw the following conclusions:First, AQA textbook organization forms is various;Second, Knowledge breadth of AQA textbook is larger than Chinese textbook;Third, Knowledge depth of AQA textbook is deeper than Chinese textbook;Fourth, Knowledge span of AQA textbook is bigger than Chinese textbook."Stones from other hills may serve to polish jade." According to Research results, put forward the following suggestions for Chinese textbook about compilation of "Mechanics" and "electric field":1. The definition of concept should be various;2. Reduce the deduction of writing thinking;3. focus on knowledge transfer;4. Pay attention to the penetration of scientific thinking.
