The rapid development of modern information technology has brought the new change to education; online learning has gradually become an important way to learn in the informationzed teaching surroundings. Since 2012, MOOC appeared in public view and made the explosive development. This phenomenon is also greatly contributed to the exploration and research scholars on the MOOC, there are many problems, such as the integration of online learning mode and traditional education, how the MOOC to promote the learner's effective learning.In MOOC education platform, the video is the most widely used type of resource, but the interface is the main interactive connector online learning process for learners and teaching content. So the design of video interface is an important factor for the quality of MOOC courses. Whether Video interface layout is reasonable, whether the information is presented clearly, whether important content is so outstanding and so on, these factors will largely affect the learning of learners. The researches of traditional network course interface design are mainly based on the principle of usability or learning theory and then put forward the corresponding improvement plan for the interface design. Some scholars also evaluation network through researching the influence of interface for learners. But previous studies lack of focus on learners' learning process and less attention to the problems existing in the interface design.The purpose of this paper is to study the eye movement data and the effect of learning between the different styles of MOOC video interface layout which the learner used by eye tracking technology. By analyzing the influence of interface design to learners and learners'psychological cognitive behavior in the learning process, we put forward more effectively learning interface layout.The main work and innovation point of this research is,1. We sort out the current status of the use of the current MOOC platform video interface, especially the 12 popular MOOC platform video interface layout. According to the characteristics of the interface layout, we separated them into two categories, vertical layout interface (the video on the left side and interactive scrolling subtitles on the right) and horizontal layout interface (video on the above and subtitles in the bottom), to provide the basis for the development of the follow research.2. Select video interface layout mode as the independent variable to design the eye tracking experiment between subjects. We selected 48 students in a school as subjects and experimental material is curriculum video from the popular MOOC platform "Coursera". To use the SMI X RED500 to record the eye movement of learners who using the different MOOC video interface to learn. According to the visual angle of eye tracking data, and to analyzed the visual behavior and attention distribution of learners at the different interface conditions. This method implements the attention of learners in the learning process of cognitive psychological process.3. Design the self-made test questionnaire of learning effect based on the existing research and combined with the purpose of this study. The questionnaire includes the knowledge memory test and the knowledge transfer test. Knowledge mastery degree is the evaluation index, and by the test results to investigate the memory and migration of the knowledge. In addition, we combine the conclusions of eye tracking experiment and the results of memory and transfer test to explore the effect of video interface layout mode on the learning effect of learners. Through the analysis of Eye movement data and self-made questionnaire scores, we can solve the limitation of focus on the achievement in traditional research. Eye tracking data can improve the reliability and practical of the experimental conclusions.Through experiment we found that:1. The vertical layout interface (the video on the left side and interactive scrolling subtitles on the right) learn better, especially knowledge transfer effect.2. Interface layout effect learners' visual behavior, time and the number of fixation in the condition of the horizontal layout is significantly higher than the corresponding indicator in the condition of the vertical layout; but different interface layout has no effect on learners' cognitive load,3. Learning English learners focus on video caption display area, whether the vertical layout interfaces or the horizontal layout interface. The degree of concern is different for leaners'about video and subtitles. The horizontal layout and the vertical layout attention to subtitles, leaners prefer the former.4. The subjective satisfaction of learners about the vertical layout is higher than the horizontal layout.
