The Application Of Chunk Teaching Method In English Reading Teaching In The Middle School

As a language subject,English needs lots of import.Reading,as a very important language import method,plays important roles during the beginning of primary school.Reading can help students get information,enjoy themselves,foster their abilities of English reading comprehension and make them forming good habits of reading.And also we should train students reading skills so that students can initiative to learn.However,there are still many students don't realize the importance of reading,and they are limited in English class,not having so much interesting in English reading.Their purpose of reading is just to the examination,still some students do not have good habits of reading,they look words one by one when they are reading.Most English teachers just teach the students the content of reading,rather than to teach them how to read.So it's necessary to support them some reading strategies.Lexical chunk teaching demands to be divided the sentences into several parts which have a whole meaning,whose eyes should pause as less as possible,through the way which store in the human brain in form of the whole and express it as the whole.This is scientific approach.In this research,action research has been taken in a primary school in Shenyang.Through questionnaire,we can know the situation and problems of English reading in primary schools,and make plans in Grade six,we took two rounds of action research,finally we can summary the conclusions from interview,study logs by the students and testing scores.The conclusions are as follows:Lexical chunk teaching can improve students' interesting and foster their good habits.Lexical chunk teaching can improve classroom teaching effect and has a long,positive effect to the students.
