Research On The Evolution Of The Professional Development Of Chinese Football

Football has the reputation of the “first sport” in the world and great influences globally.Also,it was the earliest sport to be reformed by professionalizing in China,playing a significant leading role in the reforming developments of sports in China.The football professionalization in China has hitherto developed for 24 years,during which there were both successful and failing experiences.And marshalling systematically the football developing course,gathering successful lessons,anatomizing problems,and exploring the historic reforming path of Chinese football professionalization carefully and deeply would make a great sense in prompting the football developing in a faster and healthier way and advancing the level of this sport.This thesis researched on the revolution of Chinese football after professionalizing reform,utilizing documents,experts interview,mathematical statistics,HHI,concentration ratio C5 and historic methods to carry out a comprehensive marshalling and analyzing on the scale,managements,matches,athletes training,athletes communications,hiring foreign athletes,administration policies and files and satisfying core requirements of society during the 24-year soccer professionalizing process in China,and has got the following conclusions:1.The professionalization developments of football in China could be divided into six different stages: planning and preparing,exploring and implementing,rapid expanding,circuitous advancing,stagnant situations and re-establishing developing period.2.The performance of Chinese football was barely satisfying in World Cup,Asian Cup and Olympic Games.But the participating clubs were acquiring a higher status in these matches.And the competition of CSL showed unbalanced developments,and that was enhancing as times went on.3.The introducing and exporting of professional football athletes in China showed an upward trend overall.The continuous playing time of foreign athletes was shorter and many clubs changed their foreign player frequently.The main sources Chinese clubs got their foreign aid were America(mainly Brazil),Europe(mainly Serbia,Bulgaria),Asia(mainly South Korea)and Africa.4.The number of employing foreign chief coach fluctuated,inclining to hire them in the countries advanced in soccer.The main region included South Europe(mainly Serbia,Portugal,Croatia),South America(mainly Brazil,then Uruguay,Argentina),Asia(mainly South Korea).These foreign coaches normally had a short continuous term of service and changed frequently.5.The principle causes of the leaving of coaches in the Super League Matches in China were the poor team performance,the divergence with club's administrator or athletes.And themediocre personal performance,unsatisfied match results and free transferring were the main reasons for the leaving of foreign athletes.6.Since the football reform of professionalizing,CFA(Chinese Football Association)has formulated many rules and regulations and achieved moderate advances in the legal construction of clubs.But these regulations had less restrictions on the Chinese Football Association than clubs and athletes.There was a great gap between legal construction of professional football and that of Chinese society.7.The clubs transferring system in China was still at a preliminary stage and demanded further completion.Chinese professional player applicated transfer and the actual transferring number fluctuated in these years,and the transfer market was still in a depressing state.But the price of these athletes increasing dramatically in a straight upward trend.8.The revenue proportion of Chinese Football Association was extremely unbalanced.The main sources of the income of most of Chinese professional clubs were title sponsors,the structure was single and vulnerable before risks,lacking of autonomous operating.Though got some achievements,the market managing was not mature.In general,Chinese Football Association Super League was developing steadily with the audience number per match showing an increasing trend.9.With the advancing of the Super League,the frequency to change team title was declining.The club property right of Chinese professional clubs was not stable,causing short-term conducts characteristics in the investment of companies.After entering the Chinese Football Association Super League,these retreats behavior was decreasing to some extent and the football marketizing was towards stable.10.The training of backup athletes in Chinese professional club was expanding towards a multitude direction.But the football training concept was still at the marginal area of the internationalization,having a significant gap comparing to the powerful football countries worldwide and demanding improving and perfecting.
