It is well known that calculation is an important part of mathematics and lower grades are enlightenment stages for students to learn calculation.As a result,it should be a top priority for lower grade mathematical teaching to cultivate interests of lower grade students in calculation,develop good habits of calculation and form a sensitive calculation intuition for them.However,in previous calculation teaching practices,the cultivation of students' calculation abilities always depended on a large number of mechanical and stiff repetitive drills and memories.Although such repetitions have achieved some success to a certain extent,this passive learning style may easily have students lose their interests in learning mathematics,holding back further development of students.With the development of information technology and popularization of mobile terminal,micro-video has enjoyed great popularities from teachers and students as a novel means to assist learning.It contains mathematical knowledge in scenarios attractive for students,without restricting time and places for learning.In addition to using micro-videos made by teachers,students can also create and share micro-videos by integrating with their own understanding and experiences,which may easily resonate with “audiences” and bring benefits to different levels of students.Based on the constructivism as the theoretical basis and combination of pedagogy,psychology and mathematical teaching theory,a deep study was carried out in this article from theoretical and practical perspectives of micro-video-assisted calculation teaching.Firstly,by organizing micro-videos and researches regarding the cultivation of calculation skills for lower grade students at home and abroad,“micro-video-assisted calculation teaching for lower grades” was determined as the topic this article focused on.Meanwhile,after analyzing the factors affecting the calculation abilities of lower grade students and theoretical values of lower grade micro-video-assisted calculation teaching under the guidance of the constructivism,it came to a conclusion that opinions derived from the constructivism could be adopted to instruct the micro-videos of calculation teaching.Then,according to the calculation teaching mode widely applied by frontline teachers,deficiencies existing in the calculation teaching were pointed out and principles and design methods which people shouldabide by in the process of making micro-videos were proposed.Moreover,case designs concerning micro-videos were conducted specific to three basic types of calculation teaching lessons(new lessons,practice lesson,organization and review lessons).After completing teaching practices,the application effects of micro-video-assisted calculation teaching were assessed on the basis of evaluations and comparisons of students' performances.This article can be divided into six parts as follows.The first part is about questions raised by the author.The backgrounds and significances of this study were proposed from three perspectives: micro-video has become a widely-applied teaching tool;lower grades in primary schools are critical periods to learn calculation;requirements of new curriculum standard on calculation teaching.Then,research status regarding micro-videos and low-grade mathematical education at home and abroad was illustrated.Consequently,research approaches and methods of this article were introduced.The second part is the theoretical analysis,primarily illustrating interior and exterior factors affecting the calculation ability for lower grades,the integrating point between the constructivism and micro-videos as well as analysis on the theoretical value of applying micro-videos in calculation teaching for lower grades.The third part,as the core of this article,primarily discussed optimization measures for micro-videos of calculation teaching according to the type of lessons.By analyzing the training objectives for new lessons,practice lesson,organization and review lessons and combining problems easily occurred in the process of teaching the above three types of lessons,principles and detailed design thoughts people should observe in designing micro-videos for these three types of lessons were concluded.The fourth part illustrated cases of micro-video designs for new lessons,practice lesson,organization and review lessons listed in the above chapter from aspects of brief textbook analysis,student analysis,micro-video scripts and micro-video design.Application effect analysis was introduced in the fifth part.The application effects and rationality for the micro-video-assisted teaching were illustrated in terms of application object,application content and pattern as well as application effect.The sixth part is the research conclusion.The author drew the following conclusions based on the study: 1.Design interesting micro-videos which can attract kids at lower grades;2.Design calculation micro-videos which are suitable for features of student in class;3.Select proper teaching contents that can compile calculation micro-videos;4.Teach kids at lower grades how to use the micro-video.
