Objective:To explore the differences of College Students' Regret Orientation and Risk Preference on demographic variables level,and the influence of Regret Orientation on Risk Preference in gains and losses.Methods:In this study,250 college students come from freshmen to senior completed open-questionnaires about Regret Orientation.Furthermore,the Risk Preference is analyzed on the basis of Kahneman's and Tversky's experiment about deterministic effects and reflection effects.Result;(1)The female's regret orientation is significantly higher than that of the male.(2)There is no significant difference between growth environment,one-child and grade.(3)The ethnic minorities' regret orientation is significantly higher than that of the Han nationality.(4)People tend to choose to avoid risks under the gain frame for the risk preference.(5)There is a significant related between regret orientation and risk preference.Conclusion:(1)There was a significant difference between gender and ethnicity.(2)Female tend to choose to avoid risks under the gain frame for the risk preference.(3)Results showed a significant negative correlation between regret orientation and risk preference under the gain frame.
