Since the new revolution of curriculum, question situation has been a everlasting research topic. The paper is based on relevant research results both at home and abroad. I set up the analysis model of features in junior high school’s math question situation, so as to analyze the examination questions of PISA2012 and characters of Nanjing 2016 senior high school entrance examination. In addition, I make a questionaire to learn about the influence of question situations’ three characters on students’ problem solving. Relevant teaching suggestions are also included. The examination questions of PISA2012 and analysis results of Nanjing 2016 senior high school entrance examination shows:1.There are certain differences between PISA2012 and 2016 senior high school entrance examinations. The former one is abundant in multiple situations, but the latter one has barely situational questions.2.PISA2012’s questions are shown in a lot words, with tables and graphs attached mostly, and full of mathematical elements, which not require too much on students cognitive level but emphasize on fundamental. While in the latter examination, there are more tables and graphs, no obvious mathematical elements, high requirement of cognitive level. The results indicate:1.From the whole of examination paper, the overall score didn’t reach the passing line for both of the two schools, which showed students’ problem solving abilities need to be improved.2.From the representation mode, word count affects greatly on problem solving while graphs will not. At the same time, word count of situations affect below-level students more than above-level students. Above-level students have a significant edge over others.3.From mathematical structure, when there are more math elements, students tend to score lower points. When there are more abstract symbols, above-level students could differentiate better because of their advantageous problem solving ability.4.From cognitive level, when the level changes, the average points of both schools would decrease. Thus, the cognitive level of situational questions affect a lot.The following teaching suggestions are come up according to the research results:.Make math relevant to life, pay attention to develop practical procedures..Increase math reading exercise to nurture math comprehension ability..Emphasize tables and graphs to strengthen expression skills of mathematical language..Develop cognitive level to their age and enhance exploring ability step by step.
