With the development of society and the rapid progress of science and technology,the technology has been widely used in teaching in order to improve the efficiency of learning.Students' learning materials by a single paper such as books gradually turned to various multimedia courseware,through adding animation,sound,video and other forms,in order to increase learner's interest in learning and improve the learning effect.In recent years,The concept of emotional design in product fields is introduced into education domain,Education researchers began to pay more attention to the emotional factors in multimedia learning materials,making the essential elements graphics in the lesson's more appealing,such as by rendering them with human-like features and with distinct,appealing colors to induce learners'positive emotions and internal motivation during the learning process,so as to improve the effect of learning.Base on the Moreno 's cognitive-affective theory of learning with media(CATLM)and Mayer's cognitive theory of multimedia learning(CTML).The purpose of this study is to determine whether adding emotional design features in a multimedia lesson can help student learn better.This research mainly on the basis of existing research about emotional design in multimedia learning,through changing the subject,experimental content and experimental environment,taking college and senior high school students as research object,using the method of questionnaire and experimental study from the following aspects:(1)Does an aesthetically appealing design of a multimedia learning material can induce learners'positive emotions?(2)How do positive emotions affect cognitive outcomes such as learning outcomes(comprehension and transfer test)?(3)How do positive emotions affect affective outcomes such as motivation?By analyzing the questionnaire data and the experimental data,The experimental results show that:(1)the experiment of emotional design learning materials have not stimulated students' positive emotions in the learning process,students' emotional state level decreased after the experiment;(2)emotional learning material can promote students' cognitive process,improve students' learning effect;(3)the learning material with visual characteristics appeal can attract students' attention,resulting in higher internal motivation for further learning.
