The development of students' higher order thinking is particularly urgent among our teaching process. As an important part of students' key competencies, higher order thinking is of great significance to the development of students.Those students equipped with higher order thinking ability are lifelong learners,they tend to consider the new situation,new information with thorough analysis,solve the problem through criticism and creation. As a consequence, the teaching based on higher order thinking is required to change the main emphasis and convert the teaching content structure. As an pivotal part of the content of teaching and classroom question, the exercise of textbook system should undertake the responsibility of cultivating students' higher order thinking ability,because the essence of the question determines the result of our thinking, and then the results control the process of our mind. At the same time, designing our exercise system based on this theory is the inevitable choice to crack the cognition level fuzzy of current exercise system,the effective tools to overcome the randomness and blindness of the training behavior.From the angle of promoting the development of students' cognitive to censor the compilation of textbook exercise system ,it's better for us to actively consider the following questions:why should we compile our textbook exercise system according to Bloom's Taxonomy of Educational Objectives (revised), what's the meaning and value of that; how is the knowledge and cognitive levels of our exercise system;how to optimize the cognitive level and knowledge level of the exercise system; how can our teacher remould the exercise system according to this theory, and then gradually improve the thinking content of their questions in class.These problems need be clarified and settled not only in theory but also in practice, which pushes me to do the research and make an active response. In the instructional process, through literature analysis and text analysis,the author tried to grasp the research status domestic and overseas, through the survey method established the advantages to design our textbook exercise system according to Bloom's Taxonomy of Educational Objectives (revised),that is the inevitable choice to crack the cognition level fuzzy of current exercise system, the new way for the development of students of higher order thinking, the corresponding theoretical support to promote the educational wisdom of teachers. And then, followed by content analysis and expert delphy method,the author investigate and analysis the cognitional level and type of knowledge of textbook exercise system, discussing some problems of textbook exercises in cognitive level and knowledge type . Then it explores the ways to reform the training system. In the fifth chapter, the author checked the effectiveness and operability of the reform strategy according to the method of classroom observation and interview.On the basis of the data analysis and discussion ,the author has found some problems in the aspect of cognitive level,that is slight deficiency in the degree of operability of the exercises,the lower-order thinking accounts for a larger proportion than higher-order thinking level, paying more attention to the execution than implementation in the terms of applying language, paying more emphasize to the type of appreciation than criticism. As for the the types of knowledge, the questions are as followed, that is slight deficiency in the number of procedural knowledge,great lack of strategic knowledge.Based on the existing problems, the author have putted forward several corresponding suggestions and strategies to help the teachers to practice the exercise reformation. That is to transform the limitation of conception from multi angle, to improve exercise system from multi dimension, to enlighten the teachers to transform the exercise system from multi level.Then,combined with the suggestions and strategies are given in Chapter fourth, the author attempted to cooperate with teachers?separately from the the following four way to transform the exercises and then implement these questions in the class,that is 'respect level,design questions according to the rule', 'Convert the role , setting up the pragmatic training points', 'analysis,grasp the deep point of the text content' and 'Compared with appreciation,cultivate the critical thinking'. Based on the dialogue between teachers and students and combined with interviews to students, we can draw the conclusion that under the guidance of the higher order thinking questions, the students could open their minds,develop their thinking and release more creativity and vitality.
