In recent years, population aging has become an increasingly serious trend putting in front of our county. As of the end of 2016,Population of 65 years old and above has reached 15 million, accounting for 10.8%of the total population.Population aging will have an important impact on the expansion of cultural consumption of our residents.Cultural consumption is precisely an important field to expand, when China's per capita GDP has reached the world's middle income level, the people's consumption structure especially need to upgrade. In view of this, this paper will analyze that the impact of population aging new normal on the residents' cultural consumption and gaps among urban and rural areas,as well as regions,in order to provide a referencefor seeking an effective way to improve the level of citizens' cultural consumption. The thesis takes these methods:the literature review, qualitative analysis, quantitative analysis and comparative analysis,so as to analyze the influence of population aging on the residents' cultural consumption. In addition to the introduction of the first chapter, the basic logical structure and the main content is:The first part(Chapter 2)is theoretically analyzing the impact of the population aging on the residents'cultural consumption. On the basis of accurately defining the population aging and the residents' cultural consumption,it uses absolute income theory, life cycle theory, legacy motive theory and preventive savings theory.Under these circumstances, the thesis analyzes the mechanism of population aging on the residents' cultural consumption. It shows that population aging has both positive and negative impacts on the residents'cultural consumption. If the positive impact is greater than the negative, population aging will increase the overall cultural consumption. In contrast,it will decrease the cultural consumption. The second part(Chapters 3-5)is empirically analyzing the impact of population aging on the residents' cultural consumption.Firstly,it describes the background, present situation, characteristics and trends of population aging;and then describes the present situation of residents' cultural consumption from the urban and rural areas, towns, rural three aspects, the residents' cultural consumption gaps among urban and rural areas,as well as regions. Finally,it constructs a model to empirically analyze the impact of population aging on the residents' cultural consumption and gaps among urban and rural areas,as well as regions. The main conclusions are:(1)Nationwide,the elderly dependency ratio has a significant negative impact on the residents' cultural consumption, while the child dependency ratio,15-64 years of age proportion,65 years of age and above proportion have no significant impact.(2)From the urban and rural differences:In urban areas, the elderly dependency has a significant negative impact on the residents' cultural consumption;child dependency ratio has a significant negative impact on the residents' cultural consumption;15-64 years of age proportion,65 years of age and above proportion have no significant impact on the cultural consumption of residents. In rural areas, the elderly dependency ratio and 15-64 years of age proportion have no significant impact on the residents' cultural consumption.(3)From the regional differences,In the eastern region, the proportion of the population aged 65 and above has a significant positive effect on the cultural consumption of the residents, while the elderly dependency ratio, the child dependency ratio,15-64 years of age proportion have no significant impact on the residents' cultural consumption. In central area, the child dependency ratio has a significant positive effect on the cultural consumption of the residents;the elderly dependency ratio has no significant impact on the residents'cultural consumption;the proportion of the population aged 65 and above and 15-64 years of age proportion have a significant negative effect on the residents' cultural consumption. The elderly dependency ratio, the child dependency ratio, the proportion of the population aged 65 and above and 15-64 years of age proportion have no significant impact on the residents5 cultural consumption. To sum up:Although there are differences between urban and rural areas, but the population aging has a negative impact on the consumption of our residents, but also a positive impact. The third part(Chapter 6)is the corresponding suggestions.According to the previous theoretical and empirical results and the reasons analysis,it gives the concrete suggestions to deal with the aging of the population and expand the cultural consumption of the residents.(1)From the whole country,we should do everything possible to increase the income level of the residents, strengthen the propaganda and education of cultural consumption, give full play to the fulcrum role of fixed assets investment in culture, education and entertainment, and improve the economic subsidy for the two children family;(2)In urban areas,Because the expansion of the old dependency ratio inhibited the growth of cultural consumption of residents to a certain extent, this thesis focuses on expanding the level of cultural consumption of the elderly.(3)In the rural areas, the increase in the elderly dependency ratio and the proportion of the population aged 65 and above helps to the growth of cultural consumption. Therefore,we should find ways to increase the cultural and cultural facilities and conditions, and further release the rural areas of the elderly cultural consumption potential.(4)In the eastern, central and western regions, due to the different levels of economic development between regions, and resource endowments, infrastructure conditions, customs and cultural environment also are different from each other. Therefore, the all regional areas should develop local featured cultural consumption and take actions that suit local circumstancesThe fourth part(chapter 7)is the summary and prospect of the full text.First of all,all of the sections are summarized and summarized;and then pointed out the shortcomings of the article and some problems which need to been improved. The innovation of this paper is:(1)the special visual angle of selecting this topic.Under the dual background of population aging and the expansion of cultural consumption, the paper studies the influence mechanism and influence degree of the new normal population on the residents' cultural consumption, and try to provide advice to expand the cultural consumption of the elderly population.(2)Comparison of urban and rural areas, eastern, central and western regions.Based on the analysis of the impact of population aging on the level of cultural consumption, this paper analyzes the differences between urban and rural areas and the eastern, central and western regions.
