Objective:Flexibility is an important physical quality of the human body, and too high or too low flexibility can cause sports injuries, whereas good flexibility can effectively prevent sports injuries. In this article,Kinesio taping?KT?was used as an intervention to study the specific effects of improving the flexibility of healthy male college students with the purpose of preventing further sports injuries.Research method:40 male College Students from the International College of Medical Technology of a private college in Shanghai were selected. There aren't any cases with paresthesia;no movement disorders;no trunk or hip joint sports injuries;no other diseases affecting the quality of flexibility;no contraindications of taping or allergic phenomenon; All cases should have good compliance and are willing to complete the test. The study design of this experiment was divided into two parts of the experiment. The first part of the experiment included 40 male college students and were randomlydivide into control group?20 cases?and test group?20 cases?using the random number table. The control group received no particular interventions. The experimental group used KT as a major intervention.Two"I"-shaped KT were applied to the musculus erector spinae and thigh's skeletal muscle. The two indicators of seated body flexion and spine flexion angle were tested.Repeat measurements were taken before the intervention, immediately after the intervention?within 5 min?,and24h after the intervention. At each time point,3 measurements were performed for each test method. In order to avoid the first test interfering with the second test, there is a one-week interval between the two tests. Then the same subjects?40 male college students?were randomizedinto three groups using a random number table:muscle stretching,KT,muscle stretching combined with KT.In the muscle stretching group, dynamic stetchingwas combined with staticstetching. The stretching site was the musculus erector spinae and thigh's muscle. Each course was 30 minutes as a whole, with 5minutes as warm-up and finishing activities, and 20 minutes for muscle stretching, there were a total of four groups of actions. In KT group,two"I"-shaped KTs were applied to the musculus erector spinae and thigh's skeletal muscle.KT was reapplied every 3 days. The muscle stretching combined with KT group received the same muscle stretching training and KT.The intervention time for the three groups was 2weeks.Sit-and-Reach and bending angle of spine were tested. The repeated measurements were performed before the intervention, immediately after the intervention?within 5min?,and 2 W after the intervention. At each time point,3 measurements were performed for each test method.Independent T test and chi-square test were used for the general data of the subjects.Independent T test and analysis of variance were used for test methods. In the first experiment, repeated measures variance analysis was performed on the data of the intervention group and the control group. In addition,a single factor repeated measures analysis of variance was performed between the three time points of the intervention group.Immediately after the intervention and 24 hours after the intervention, independent T test was performed on the data of the intervention group and the control group. In the second experiment, repeated measures variance analysis was performed on the data of the three intervention methods between groups and time factors. An analysis of variance was performed on the intergroup data of the three intervention methods and the post-hoc comparisons were performed on before the intervention, immediately after the intervention, and 2 weeks after the intervention.Result:There were no significant differences in the general data between the control group and the intervention group in the trials of kinesio for flexibility. There were no significant differences in the pre-intervention test between Sit-and-Reach and bending angle of spine. In the result of Sit-and-Reach,repeated measures analysis of variance was used. The outcome was F=30.02,P<0.01,indicating that there was a significant statistical difference between the intervention group and the control group; The outcome was F=21.75,P<0.01,indicating that there was a significant statistical difference in the time factor. The variance analysis of single factor repeated measures in the intervention group showed that q=3.86,P<0.05,between pre-intervention and immediately after the intervention;q=4.25,P<0.05,between pre-intervention and 24 hours after the intervention; There were statistical differences between the two time periods after the intervention and the pre-intervention.q=0.38,P>0.05,between Immediately after the intervention and 24 hours after the intervention,There is no statistical difference between these two time periods. In addition, there was no statistical difference in the control group at each time period;Immediately after the intervention the outcome was 6.11±2.87?the control group?and 9.54±3.83?intervention group?,and the independent T test shows statistical significance?t=3.20,P<0.01?indicatinthat Sit-and-Reach changed significantly immediately after the intervention;and 24 hours after the intervention, the control group was 6.04±4.50 intervention group?9.94±3.75?,and the independent T test obtained t=2.97,P<0.01,indicating that Sit-and-Reach significantly changed 24 hours after the intervention. In the result of angle of spine, repeated measures analysis of variance was used. The outcome was F=13.65,P<0.01,indicating that there was a significant statistical difference between the intervention group and the control group; The outcome was F=11.01,P<0.01,indicating that there was a significant statistical difference in the time factor. The variance analysis of single factor repeated measures in the intervention group showed that q=4.01,P<0.05,between pre-intervention and immediately after the intervention;q=3.51,P<0.05,between pre-intervention and 24 hours after the intervention; There were statistical differences between the two time periods after the intervention and the pre-intervention.q=0.50,P>0.05,between Immediately after the intervention and 24 hours after the intervention,There is no statistical difference between these two time periods. In addition, there was no statistical difference in the control group at each time period;Immediately after the intervention, the control group?bending angle,72.01±14.12?,intervention group?bending angle,80.92±12.67?was significantly different?=the independent T-test resulted in t=2.10,P<0.05?,indicating that bending angle of spinewas significant changed immediately after the intervention;24h after the intervention bending angle of control group was71.51±13.40),intervention group79.14±10.16,with the result of t=2.03,P<0.05,indicating that there was a significant difference in bending angle of spine 24h after intervention. The second test was to compare the three intervention methods of muscle stretching training,KT,muscle stretching training combined with KT,and there was no significant difference in the general data of the subjects. There was no significant difference in Sit-and-Reach and bending angle of spine. In the result of Sit-and-Reach,the analysis of the three intervention methods for repeated measures of variance between groups and time factors resulted in Fgroup=6.71,P<0.05,indicating that the three intervention methods have significant differences between groups;and Ftime=16.09,P<0.01,indicating that the three intervention methods have significant changes in the time factor. An analysis of variance was performed on the data of the three interventions at pre-intervention,immediately after intervention, and 2 weeks after intervention. There was no statistical difference between the three intervention groups pre-intervention and immediately after the intervention. The outcome was F=3.85,P<0.05,indicating there are significant differences in the three intervention methods at 2W after intervention. At this time period, the variance analysis was compared between the two groups:q=3.38,P<0.05,indicating that there was a statistically significant difference between the KT group and the muscle stretch training group;q=3.67,P<0.05,indicating that there was a statistical difference between the KT combined with muscle stretch training group and the muscle stretch training group; There was no statistical difference between the KT group and the KT combined with muscle stretching training group. In the result of bending angle of spine, repeated analysis of variances between groups and time factors for the three intervention methods resulted in Fgroup=11.31,P<0.01.The three intervention methods showed significant changes between groups;Ftime=19.25,P<0.01,explaining that the three intervention methods have significant changes in the time factor. An analysis of variance was performed on the data of the three interventions at pre-intervention,immediately after intervention, and 2 weeks after intervention. There was no statistical difference between the three intervention groups pre-intervention and immediately after the intervention. The outcome was F=3.34,P<0.05,indicating there are significant differences between the three intervention methods after 2W intervention. At this time period, the variance analysis was compared between the two groups:q=3.38,P<0.05,indicating that there was a statistically significant difference between the KT group and the KT combined with muscle stretching training group; There was no statistical difference between the KT group and the muscle draft training group; There was no statistical difference between the KT combined with muscle stretching training group and the muscle stretching training group.Conclusions:1)KT as an intervention method improves the flexibility of healthy male undergraduates in Sit-and-Reach and bending angle of spine.2)The role of KT can continue to effect the subjects within 24 hours. It shows that KT can achieve the purpose of preventing sports injury by continuously improving the flexibility of the body.3)There was a significant difference in improving the therapeutic effect and time factor of the flexibility for the muscle stretching combined with KT group compared with the muscle stretching group and KT group. After two weeks of intervention, the effect of KT is superior to the muscle stretch training in Sit-and-Reach.
