During the construction of "two first-class",universities is essential for promoting cultural power,and the requirements for scientific research and teaching service are constantly advancing with the times.School library,an important link in the university’s research,has undoubtedly ascended the times train of service promotion.Aiming at the bad emotions produced by students in the university library,scholars defined it as library anxiety by studying.The research shows that library anxiety is prevalent and harmful.For the investigation of the current situation of College Students’ Library anxiety in Tianjin and Guangzhou,this study adopts 5 methods of literature review method,deductive method,interview method,questionnaire survey method and statistical analysis method research.First,literature review is used to review and classify the related researches on library anxiety at home and abroad,and points out the shortage of domestic library anxiety research.Based on the existing scale lag and lacking of clear regional library anxiety in China,article summarized the relevant research.Second,using interviews,collected the dimensions and specific scale design to cut,get 7 dimensions and totally 50 items.Moreover,the problems of demography,learning ability assessment and library use were combined,and a complete questionnaire was designed and issue it.Adopted the field investigation method to ensure the one hand data source and target visit.Last,the questionnaires were collected and reorganized.There were 3 universities in Tianjin and 294 valid questionnaires,while 305 copies in 3 universities in Guangzhou.Utilizing SPSS 22.0 for statistical analysis and treatment.Summing up the overall anxiety level in Tianjin is slightly higher than Guangzhou,and they are all moderate anxiety.In the regional dimension division,through the factor rotation and in the various regions of the whole questionnaire items cut,reflects the differences on the dimensions and items in the library anxiety on two areas.Through a single factor analysis of variance,the differences in anxiety are also reflected in different demographics,learning ability assessment and library use.According to the results,proposing suggestions for alleviating regional library anxiety,and elaborated two suggestions on strengthening library training,establishing periodical feedback mechanism and improving librarians’ professional literacy.
