Teaching with variation is a traditional feature of Chinese teaching.The “Chinese learner paradox” has caused Chinese and Western scholars to pay extensive attention to teaching with variation in Chinese mathematics classroom.Teaching with variation refers that teachers use different forms of intuitive materials or examples to explain the essential attributes of things in teaching,or transform non-essential features of similar things to highlight the essential characteristics of things.In the mathematics classroom,the teachers make reasonable use of teaching with variation to enable students to acquire better understanding and acception of knowledge,and better development in all aspects of the ability in line with the concept of new curriculum reform.However,there are not many researches on the actual application of teaching with variation in the mathematics classroom at this stage,and more attention is paid to the theoretical research of teaching with variation,including the discussion of teaching with variation issues and the use of teaching with variation strategies.Therefore,this study aims to explore the application of teaching with variation in mathematics classes.Firstly,the article studies the domestic and foreign literature on teaching with variation and summarizes the core nature of teaching with variation.Then based on Gu lingyuan's procedural variation and the variant,invariant and discernment mentioned in Marton's variation theory,the two important aspects construct the theoretical framework of this study.Secondly,the article analyzes the real classroom examples of the acute angle function concepts in junior school,and analyzes the variation part designed by two teachers in the class.Finally,based on the theoretical framework proposed in this study,from the perspective of theoretical guidance and practice,it further analyses the variation part and improves the inadequate part,and at the same time provides more practical reference cases for frontline teachers to apply teaching with variation in mathematics classes.
