To achieve the transition from three-dimensional goals to core literacy,a very important step is to cultivate the scientific spirit of students. In the context of examoriented education, teachers tend to focus on the examination of knowledge and skills, while ignoring the cultivation of students' scientific spirit. The cultivation of the scientific spirit is a quantum leap from qualitative change to qualitative change in chemistry learning. It is a sublimation of chemical knowledge. It is an important means for educators to realize “education”.It is difficult to have a measurement tool to measure students' scientific spirit. Therefore, the scientific spirit Should be more reflected in the process of teacher teaching. The textbook is an important link linking teachers' teaching and students' learning.Historical materials in the textbooks are a good vehicle for fostering students' humanistic spirit through historical facts.Science history is a necessary condition for helping students master scientific methods and cultivate students' scientific spirit.Teachers create effective resources for teaching situations.Integrating the scientific spirit into classroom teaching, subtlely, affecting students is the most effective way to cultivate students' scientific spirit."PEP" and "Shanghai edition" are textbooks currently used in China and have great reference value. This article elaborates on the connotation of the scientific spirit, selects materials for chemistry history in the “PEPP” high school chemistry textbook and “Shanghai edition” high school chemistry textbook, and taps the scientific spirit contained in the textbook, and compares the similarities and differences between the two versions of the textbook.Discuss the characteristics of the scientific spirit reflected in the high school chemistry textbooks. Finally, several suggestions were made for the teaching materials to reflect the scientific spirit. The paper is divided into six chapters:The first chapter is an introduction. It mainly explains the concepts of chemistry history, teaching materials, and scientific spirit. It also elaborates on the cultivation of scientific spirit and the status of educational research on chemical history.Afterwards, according to the current research status, the research direction of this paper is put forward, and the research purpose, significance and thinking are explained. The core concepts are defined. The second chapter is to introduce the research foundation, which is the theoretical basis used in this paper. The third chapter introduces the research objects, research methods and research tools and models used in this research.Chapter IV uses statistical methods to statistically analyze the scientific spirit contained in the history of chemistry in the two editions of textbooks. The fifth chapter discusses two aspects of statistical data and text reading, and analyzes the statistical results of the two versions of textbooks. The sixth chapter draws conclusions based on statistics and case comparison results, and finds out that the two editions of textbooks reflect the common characteristics and respective characteristics of the scientific spirit through the content of chemical history, and reflect the scientific spirit for the active development of chemical history teaching resources.Suggestions were made in such aspects to provide reference for the preparation of teaching materials in our country.
