Bi Shu Shogunate Book Repair Activities Research

In the Qing dynasty, During the reign of Qianlong and Jiaqing, the qualified personnel of Biyuan was one of the most important Literature Personnel. Biyuan’s official career lasted for about fouty years, during which he hold the post of grand coordinator in Shanxi and Henan, and then acted as a Governor of Hunan and Hubei. When he arrived one place, many scholars were attracted and then followed him, a circle called qualified personnel was shaped around Biyuan. The information of Bi yuan’s qualified personnel set the stage for its compilation work. There were many outlanding scholars in the qualified personnel, such as Shao jinhan, Sun xingyan, Ling tingkan, Hong liangji, Duan yucai, Yan changing, Zhang xuecheng etc. It was an extensive coverage of the books which they compiled including history, epigraphy, local topography, the collation and classification of the ancient books etc. This paper aimed at reflecting the compilation work of Biyuan’s qualified personnel, it outlined the qualified personnel’s compiling pageantry, from the starting of the compilation work to its ending, and then,revealed the details of the compilation work. More important, I hope my research work on the topic of biyuan’s qualified personnel may offer some help for the subsequent one.
