In recent years, with the continuous development of national economy, the scale of the city expanding rapidly and more and more people come into urban, meanwhile people’s living standard has been improved. But also a large amount of waste is produced which caused serious pollution and affects the economic development of the whole city. How to handle these wastes safely, economically, environmentally becomes a key factor to promote the development of society. To establish suitable city waste reverse logistics operation mode for China’s present situation and reduce the total cost of the reverse logistics system, ensure social benefit and economic benefit of the whole reverse logistics network, has the vital significance.In view of the current waste reverse logistics research situation and problems in our country, first of all, this paper started with the basic theory of waste and its reverse logistics network, built the general chain structure of reverse logistics and summarized the main features of urban waste, classification, and the waste recycling technology that from three aspects of reducing waste production, realizing secondary recycled waste recycling, improving the disposal ratio. The waste comprehensive treatment scheme is proposed.Then, through analyzing each step of reverse logistics such as the waste collection, transportation, transfer, processing and so on, this paper elaborated the waste reverse logistics network LRP model transfer station location and the collecting vehicle routing optimization related theoretical basis. To insure the economy and on the basis of the principle of timeliness, this paper constructed waste LRP problem model of reverse logistics network aiming at minimizing the total cost of operation waste reverse logistics network, and got the transport path of the vehicle and scheduling plans with considering the frequency of the waste collection points.This paper used the two-phase heuristic algorithm to solve the LRP problem. At the first stage, using the minimum envelope clustering analysis algorithm completed the alternative transit optimize combination, and determined the service area. At the second stage, this paper solved the operating line in two days of transit collection vehicles by ant colony algorithm.Finally, took a certain area in S city as the research object and the present situation of waste disposal and its reverse logistics network is analyzed, pointed the weakness and using Matlab software to write the ant colony algorithm procedure to get the best solution for the whole reverse logistics network and validated the feasibility and effectiveness of the algorithm.
