The UNESCN pointed out in <the world science and technology report> that the gaps between developing countries and developed countries fundamentally are the gap in the knowledge and the gap in the personnel quality. Therefore, the level of national quality can not only exerts an important influence on economic society and human's full scale development, but also determines the level of the whole national quality and the nation's future and destiny. Science and technology museum takes spreading science knowledge and improving public's science quality as its first priority, this determines the importance of science and technology museum in raising citizen science quality. In this context, with science museum's function evolving and perfecting, the audience's position is higher and higher, the exhibition design and activity planning more and more centered on the audience, the audience's feelings and opinions are important according for science museum staff to improve the exhibition or plan activities. Thus, science museum audience research is increasingly important.This study on the basis of literature research, huang shi science museum is the survey site, this study mainly use questionnaire to investigate audience's information and visit situation(visit pattern?visit frequency?visit interest and so on), in addition, analysis the influence factors of audience visit?audience's expectations and suggestions. Moreover, this study adopts the method of observation to research audience's visit behavior, summarizes the rules and problems in audience's visit behavior. The results of the study are as follows:(1)In demographic structure, most of visitors are under the age of 24, among them, The proportion of students is 59.2%.(2)In visit situation, on the visit way, most of the visitors choose to visit with friends or family members; On the residence time, 1—2 hours is the most; On the visit frequency, “once a month” is the most, “the lack of time” and “ the science and technology museum' propaganda is not sufficient" are the main factors that hinder the audience to visit.(3)In audience demands, Science and technology museum audience is more focused on the "plain exhibits instruction brands" and "comfortable environment", "rich content exhibition", "reasonable exhibits layout", etc.(4)In existing interest, The audience's interest in the current science and technology museum exhibition focuses on "life and health exhibition", "robot exhibition", " universe exhibition".(5)In potential interest, on the exhibition content, Audience prefer "science and technology development trends at home and abroad" and "content of regional features”; On the science activities, audience prefer science experiments, handmade class activities, science movies, science performances, etc.(6)In visiting motivation, the audience under 24 years old take "expand scientific view", "learning scientific knowledge", "leisure and recreation" as their main motivations, the main motivation of audience above 25 years old is to accompany their children. Audience in different age, education background and profession have certain differences in visiting motivation.(7)In visiting behavior, the number of exhibits audience in the “force and machinery exhibition” visit is less, the time audience stay in the area is shorter; Different exhibits have obvious differences in sparking audience behaviors; The visiting effects of children with and without parents have obvious differences.In the end, according to those results, this paper proposed strategies from the aspects of exhibits design approach, exhibits instruction brand, visiting guidance and publicity trategies to promote audience's visiting effect.
