| Science and Technology museum is the medium spreading scientific knowledge,and it also acts as the important basis and guarantee of science popularization education in China.It is fair to say that it has been playing an important role in scientific education and communication.In recent years,under the guidance of several policies proposed by governments at all levels,China’s science and technology museum have achieved rapid developments in the new era.However,a lot of problems also emerged as the growth and impact of science and technology museum get enhanced.Fundamentally speaking,infrastructures are aimed to serve people,and in order to improve the social functions of science and technology museum in scientific education and communication,we should uphold the principle of "people-oriented" while bearing in mind the stance of audiences when it comes to exhibition display design and management operation.On the other hand,the fatigue of audiences in their visit acts as an important object of study,from which we can analyze the cause of fatigue and make adjustments for the display and operation plans,hence significantly improving the social benefits of science and technology museum.By discriminating and extending the definition of "museum fatigue",this thesis proposes the concept of "science and technology museum fatigue",which means a comprehensive state of physiological and psychological fatigue of visitors who developed such condition while visiting science museums,and there are a lot of factors that can be termed as possible causes.Based on the current research results of museum fatigue,this article takes attribution analysis as the approach to classify the main causes behind science and technology museum fatigue,hence proposing an influence factor model composed of external factors,internal factors,and path planning.The external factors mainly include venue design,exhibition hall layout,items on display and many other objective factors.The internal factors are mainly about visit goal of visitors,attitude on items and ability of proper understanding.When external and internal factors have an impact on fatigue,path planning can somewhat adjust the visit fatigue.Since different paths generate different levels of fatigue,visitors can have a proper control on the visit in accordance with their own preferences.Based on the hypothesis of attribution analysis,this article takes control experiment and in-depth interview with three different conditions to conduct validation analysis for external factors,internal factors and the regulating effect of paths.Eventually,by referring to the conclusions of the theoretical and empirical research,this article offers relevant management countermeasures for the display design and operation of science museums.This article starts from the perspective of audiences to put forward a key variable of science and technology museum operation management——"science and technology museum fatigue".Based on the current research results of museum fatigue,it completes theoretical hypothesis and empirical test for the influence factors of science museum fatigue,and relevant countermeasures and suggestions are also offered.Therefore,this study can contribute to the improvement and expansion of theories regarding science museum operation management.From there,a new thinking mode can be presented for the science and technology museum construction and operation practices. |
