A Study On The Trade Flows Influencing Factors And Growth Potential Of Mechanical And Electrical Products Between China And RCEP Partners

In the trade between China and the RCEP partners,mechanical and electrical products trade occupy the main position,and mechanical and electrical products as China's important export industrial,facing severe challenges in the wake of the financial crisis.In this paper,In this paper,we select the mechanical and electrical products as the main research object.Research shows that China's overall trade of mechanical and electronic products with RCEP trading partners has been a good upward trend in nearly a decade,at the same time,through the analysis of the national situation of bilateral trade and commodity structure,we can see the proportion of mechanical and electrical products accounted for the largest part in bilateral trade,and the largest proportion of mechanical equipment and electrical equipment,RCEP trade partners of China's exports of mechanical and electronic products account for 43%of total exports,imports accounted for 41%of total imports.The main factors on mechanical and electrical products trade between China and RCEP trading partners are level of economic development,geographic distance between the two countries,technological progress and trade facilitation,this paper use empirical test found that the coefficien of GDP of two countries,technological advances,trade facilitation,and whether to set up RCEP are positive,indicating that these five factors on the mechanical and electrical products trade has a promoting effect,the coefficient of per capita GDP difference and are negative,indicating that these two factors have inhibitory effect on import and export trade of mechanical and electrical products.Finally,based on the gravity model estimates the trade potential of mechanical and electrical products total trade and export trade between China and RCEP partners,the results indicate that mechanical and electrical products trade between China and Thailand,China and the Philippines and China and Brunei in an excessive condition,mechanical and electrical products trade between China and Indonesia,China and Cambodia in a slightly excessive condition,mechanical and electrical products trade between China and Japan,China and South Korea,China and Singapore in the current situation unchanged,mechanical and electrical products trade between China and Australia,China and India,China and New Zealand,China and Laos,China and Malaysia,China and Vietnam in insufficient status quo.Therefore,China should promote the RCEP negotiations,excavating deep trade potential,strengthen international negotiation skills,reducing tariffs progressively,launch senior industrial division,enhancing the level of cooperatione,at the same time,expanding the scale of domestic electrical and mechanical industry,improving the quality of mechanical and electronic products in China.
