Industry agglomeration refers to some industries(mainly non-agricultural)in a certain geographical area concentrated phenomenon.Industrialization is the inevitable product of a certain stage,in the background of economic globalization and regional integration, industry concentration of economic activity is a normal spatial structure.Earlier on industrial agglomeration theory to explain the phenomenon began in Marshall,he will be the fundamental driving force of industrial agglomeration attributed to external economies.Marshall externalities can be divided into three conditions:first, the labor market or the labor pool localized effect, second among companies to share specialized intermediate inputs products, third, based on the information enterprise human capital accumulation and the accumulation of face to face knowledge spillover effects caused.Based on the County Economic Statistics, first measure the spatial concentration of manufacturing in Hubei limited condition;then,in the Marshall externalities(intermediate inputs, labor pool, the knowledge spillover effects)in the framework of empirical analysis of the mechanism of industrial agglomeration; Finally, the economic effects of industrial agglomeration empirical test. The results show that,on the Hubei county scale manufacturing in space significant agglomeration.According to Marshall externalities empirical analysis to verify the intermediate inputs, labor pool and share knowledge spillover effects for the industrial agglomeration has a positive role in promoting;followed by further empirical relationship between urban agglomeration effects and economic growth, industrial agglomeration on economic growth has significantly role in promoting.
