Research On The Contribution Of Human Capital To The Economic Growth Of Guizhou Province

With the rapid development of social and economic,and the arrival of the information age,the reserves of talent and technical knowledge have become the key whether a country's economic can sustainable development or not.Therefore human capital is the key factor to promoting economic growth,and the contribution of human capital to economic growth has become a hotspot at home and abroad.Guizhou province is landlocked,it is a rich in natural resources but underdeveloped provinces of Western region,its leading economic index remaining at the bottom list of China.Although Guizhou's economic growth raised fast in recent years,but it is still at a relatively low level of economic development because of a low base.Human capital as a source of economic growth,it is important engine of modern economic development,is inexhaustible driving force to help the economic sustained,rapid and healthy development and plays a decisive role to socio-economic development.Currently,Guizhou is at a critical period of opening,and changing economic growth way,and optimization industrial structure,put a right recognition and in-depth analysis on the contribution of human capital to economic growth and get the countermeasure to increase human capital accumulation,it not only related the economic optimization upgrade and structure transformation whether can smooth completed,also affect the development of economic whether is continued,health,fast.So the contribution rate of human capital to economic growth in Guizhou province is high or low and if is the main factor of promoting economic development? How can promote the economy maintained a rapid development and transformation of the economic structure? For these problems,the article researched the contribution rate of influence factors of material stock and human capital stock which affecting the economic development of Guizhou province.The paper combined industrial structure and human capital status of Guizhou province,according to C-D production function,take the contribution rate of human capital on the economic growth for research object and the sample interval is1990-2013,used the effective labor model and the human capital external model,take the area GDP as dependent variable,material stock and human capital stock as since variable,using analysis software to analysis variable.Using effective labor model to calculate material's rate of contribution was 62.16%,contribution rate of human capital was 28.55%,and contribution rate of total factor was 9.29%.Calculated by human capital externalities of material's rate of contribution was64.69%,contribute rate of human capital was 26.72%,contribution rate of human capital was 3.89%,contribution rate of total factor was 4.7%.And combined with these two models,the paper estimated that the direct contribution rate of human capital was28.65%,indirect contribution rate was 2.19%,and the total contribution rate was 30.83%.This analysis shows that economic growth of Guizhou province mainly depends on the large inputs of material capital currently and need to transform the mode of economic development.According to the existed problems of stock and quality of human capital,given some suggestions such as: increase investment of higher education and rational distribution of education resources,increase scientific and technological investment,the rural population into engines of economic growth,the introduction of talent and human capital investment from other region,improve the level of health care.
