As the core of the sustainable development of forest resources,forestland resources management has always been the emphasis of the scholars' study.New collective forest tenure system reform's ending makes implementation of post-forest tenure reform in China has become the key now,and when the policy accomplished,the masses' participation from the local community is the part which cannot be ignored.This paper chooses a typical traditional Dong village in Guizhou province,with developed forest resources and abundant traditional knowledge in forestland resources management,and take the village forestland resources management as the research object,via teasing the status of the nature,human resources,religious beliefs,village regulations,to explain the period of social change and the process of “San Ding” and the “New Collective Forest Tenure System Reform” and how these factors bring positive impact to the forest resources management.Taking D village as the case to know social and economy change under the forest institution polices and its implication Chinese sustainable forest resources management.This paper uses the literature review to narrating the relevant research and the existing problems,and uses participatory rural appraisal(PRA)which mainly includes participant observation,semi-structured interviews,participatory mapping to do investigation and survey in this village and collects some information and knowledge of forest resources management,and also uses the inductive method.This paper makes a discussion of the interrelation between national policy formulation and the local traditional knowledge: in the management of collective forest land,based on the context of national policy,the traditional knowledge plays a great role;however,in the household-contracted forestland management,the use of traditional knowledge has plays a positive role for national policy;in other forest land management,although the use of traditional knowledge and the national policy is not exactly the same,but receives the recognition from the community people.The conclusion shows if we want to form a good management model and to implement post-forest tenure reform policy,so as to make the forest resources sustainable,we not only need to make good national policies but also to take the stakeholders in the community to be involved in the policy making process,and policy implementation of related work needs to be careful and patient,including using local knowledge.
