The Inter-city Comparison Of The Evolution Of The Agricultural Workers Income Structure In Henan Province On The Basis Of The Shift-share Analysis

China's economy in recent years has been undergoing a phase of transition;the development of macroeconomic situation is also experiencing a critical stage with severe challenge beset.Such a phenomenon has more or less imposed the development of agriculture especially under the influence of the market regulation,which further has contributed to the relatively low income of the agricultural workers,the imbalanced income distribution and the gradually-deepening income gap between small-sized cities and the rural area.In addition,the issues concerning agriculture,countryside and farmer accordingly have drawn the whole society's attention,with the farmers'income being highlighted.As a province with the largest agricultural production in the China,Henan also has a large agricultural population which accounting for 71.1%in the country.For these reasons,it is of no doubt that the improvement of farmers livelihood,the increase of farmers' income,the enhancement of the farmers' consumption level and the elevation of the agricultural benefit have always been given the priority by the government.Under the circumstance of ever-accelerating industrialization and urbanization,the adjustment of farmers'income structure and the increase of their income are the hot issue closely followed by the society across the board.In this thesis,the current income structures in 18 provincially-governed cities of Henan Province is at first described,together with the statistical data analysis of the income resources of people in the above-mentioned region with the period of 2011-2014 through the application of shift-share analysis.The results of the above analysis are as follows.A distinct gap of the contribution of wage income to the famers' income still exists in this region;an advanced structure and competitive edge of family-run income is achieved in the majority cities of this region;the property income is in a relatively inferior position in this region except the provincial capital Zhengzhou;the transferred income dose not have a salient structure advantage but an obvious low competitive edge;yet,the number of competitive-edged-promoted cities is increased,as well as the growth of farmers' income.The factors causing the gap of inter-city farmers' income is elaborated in this thesis by the analysis of the research conclusion.Followed is the active proposal for the development of urbanization,which specifically are the improvement of the quality,the adjustment of the agriculture and animal husbandry product structure in accordance with the market demand,the promotion of the secondary and tertiary industries,the guaranteeing of the farmers' homestead and the housing property income;the completion of the rural financial system,the creation of the rural social security mechanism,etc.All the above-listed suggestions are put forward for the purpose of improving the farmers' income in different cities of Henan Province and substantially reduce the inter-city income gap.
