Study Of The USA Community College Secretarial Education

Community college is a part of higher education system in the United States. Secretarial educational program that has been well crafted for almost a century, and is a good example to be worth to study on it. While secretarial education of college in China has been developing in a few decades, it is still considering in an exploring stage. Therefore, we will be benefit should we study on the model of the USA secretarial education program and its experience as a mature benchmark.This thesis uses the literature method, case analysis and comparative research methods to study the secretarial educational program in a few community colleges in the USA as models. Through as carefully as possible to study on 3 community colleges’ curriculum and faculty development and management. In addition, to analysis their advantages and disadvantages from these models. Comparative analysis of current secretarial educational program in China, describing the future possible change and adjust to improve and secretarial educational program in our country.This study contains 4 parts. The first part of the thesis is about the concept, history and current development of Community College in the USA. The second part is to analysis the cases to summarize the characteristics of courses. The third part is to analysis the community college faculty management in the USA. The fourth part is comparative analysis of secretarial educational program in China.
