At present, Chinese government is vigorously supporting to develop cultural industry. As an important part of the cultural industry, online game industry is in the stage of rapid development in recent years. However, the growth speed of the online game industry in the domestic market is putting the brakes on, all large game companies are looking into the overseas market that is called “Blue Ocean” and many excellent works of exports have emerged from domestic games. As we know, Chinese traditional cultural elements are the national characteristics for domestic online game of “go abroad”. If domestic game companies want to further develop the overseas game market, they must do it with the aid of the intense vitality of traditional Chinese culture. This can not only promote Chinese online games industry “go abroad” better, but also create new ways and methods for the transmission of traditional Chinese culture, which is conducive to “go abroad” for culture and improve the cultural soft power of our country.In this paper, the first chapter is the introduction that mainly introduces the background and significance of the selected topic, research content and research status at home and abroad. It indicates that the online game industry in China has tremendous development potential, but it is always in its infancy. “Chinese culture” is the key to Chinese online game for “go abroad” and the game industry is an emerging way of spreading traditional culture. Literature review at home and abroad puts forward the overview of scholars at home and abroad on status of online game industry, exports of China's online game industry and the development of online game industry in the world.The second chapter is an overview of the online gaming industry. First introduced the concept of online games, according to the operating mode, charging mode, cultural and other types of online games are classified introduce the network function of the game and the development of China's online game industry before.The third chapter is the export status and analysis of Chinese online game industry. First, it introduces 2015 Annual Exports of online game industry in China. It stresses that policy support is one of the advantages of online game export in China. By analyzing the “go abroad” case – Perfect World, a successful game enterprise, it summarizes the export experience of the game enterprise in China. And it summarizes the problems being available in the export process: including lack of the protection of intellectual property rights, lack of talent, imbalance in overseas markets, insufficient knowing of overseas users, lack of quality and other problems. Then through the quality game of America Blizzard Entertainment, paper provides suggestions for game companies in China.The fourth chapter explains the research on methods for online game to spread traditional Chinese culture. Taking the famous RPG games of " Chinese Paladin” series as an example, this paper analyzes the perfect combination of traditional culture with the game on the traditional Chinese philosophy, religious culture, myths and legends, classical poetry, music and art and others. At the same time, it points out the feasibility to spread the traditional Chinese culture through “go abroad” of online games.The fifth chapter provides the development strategies and suggestions for “go abroad” of China's traditional culture of online game. In addition to cultivate good export environment for online game, respect the international market rules, protecting intellectual property rights, and cultivate the talent of online game for "go abroad", it should insists on Chinese cultural characteristics, paying attention to the cultural fusion, improving the quality of the games in export process must be paid special attention. In this way, it shall promote Chinese online game to "go abroad", help traditional Chinese culture to "go abroad", let the world hear the voice of China and create truly high-quality games belonging to the world.
