Automated storage and retrieval system is the highly integrated product of computer technology, automation technology, modern logistics technology and storage technology. Having the advantages of small occupation area, large storage capacity and high work efficiency, it has been widely used in various large enterprises. Traditional automated warehouse is generally access one and serial shipping form. The same equipment, such as shuttle cars and stacker, are used for shipping in the same roadway. Based on the existing automated warehouse, this paper creatively puts forward the mode of access separation and parallel delivery. The replenishment and pickup of automated warehouse can be done by independent subsystems, both don't interfere with each other. At the same time, multiple orders can be processed, realizing the parallel shipments. Compared with the traditional delivery mode, the access separation and parallel delivery mode has a higher picking efficiency.In this paper, based on "an automated warehousing system", automatic shipment picking subsystem was designed, aiming at designing a kind of automatic delivery system suitable for small batch and many kinds of goods. In this paper, combined with other subsystems, spatial layout of automatically picking subsystem were chosen. System structure was designed and focus on the design of shelf system, conveying device, sorting and merging device. Finally, the static and dynamic analysis of relevant structure was done, verifying the rationality of the structure design.The efficiency of modern warehouse depends mainly on reservoir area and location assignment strategy. Reasonable warehouse layout and location assignment strategy can greatly improve efficiency of warehouse, and is an important guarantee of realizing the modernization management of warehouse. Applying TOPSIS method,the storage strategy was firstly determined, based on which the genetic algorithm was applied for genetic algorithm, getting the optimized allocation scheme. Finally, the shipment subsystem was modeled in the Flexsim software. Through the comparison of optimized location assignment and a random allocation scheme, the necessity of slotting optimization was verified.
