Analysis On The Upgrade Path Of CAFTA

On the China-ASEAN Expo 2013,Prime Minister Li Keqiang proposed to upgrade the "China-ASEAN Free Trade Area",based on cooperation and achievements the area has achieved in the past 10 years.Select a viable path is a premise for this upgrade.The EU is the representative and traditional model of regional economic integration, which is a very important reference for many of the world regional integration organizations.But due to the shift in the global model of economic development and trade ways,new rules came into international trade, and free trade cooperation under the new rules will inevitably have a new running path.In order to that,the conventional traditional regional economic integration upgrade path which the European Union once go through is no longer apply to upgrade the China-ASEAN Free Trade Area.Based on the traditional FTA integration theory and new trade rules, the paper analyzed the applicability and non-applicability of this two models under the existing circumstances,then gave policy recommendations.
