Research On The Interactive Relationship Between Tourism Agriculture And Urban-rural Integration

With the increasing of income among urbanites, it is becoming more and more popular phenomenon that people go to rural areas and countryside with beautiful landscapes for getting close to nature and feeling famer style life when people enjoy their leisure time. This phenomenon offers a path to interact between urban areas and rural areas for promote the integration of urban areas and rural area. Also, it motivates a new pluralist industry which is called sightseeing agriculture. Besides, to flip it around, sightseeing agriculture can deeply boost the integration of urban areas and rural areas. Therefore, two factors motivate each other and interact with each other to form a "magnet effect"In recent years, Hanzhong City, which owns splendid natural environment and special history and culture, develop sightseeing agriculture and integration of urban areas and rural areas and achieved significant results. Therefore, in this dissertation, Hanzhong City is taken as example to deeply research the mechanism and effects of the interaction of urban-rural integration and sightseeing agriculture. In this way, it not just facilitates the sustainable development of sightseeing agriculture in China buy also theoretically and empirically provide an example for urban-rural integration further study.This dissertation can be divided to four parts except the first chapter i.e. the introduction.The first part i.e. chapter 1 is literature review and theoretical study. In this part, firstly, the concept of sightseen agriculture, urban-rural integration and other core concept are clarified. Then the mechanism of the interaction of urban-rural integration and sightseeing agriculture is analyzed deeply and theoretically based on Urban-rural Composition Theory, Symbiosis theory, Sustainable Development Theory, Garden City Theory etc. According to the theoretical analysis, the mechanism that sightseeing agriculture promote the interaction of urban-rural integration is including these four aspects. First, sightseeing agriculture can promote relevant industries develop and increase famers' income. Second, sightseeing agriculture is good to optimize industry structures, prolong industry chain and promote urbanization and industrialization. Third, sightseeing agriculture boosts the connection and shorten the development distance between urban areas and rural areas. Fourth, sightseeing agriculture provides employment opportunities and improve famers'capabilities. In terms of urban-rural integration, firstly, it provides infrastructures and public services. Secondly, urban-rural integration provide finance, technique, labour and talents support. Thirdly, urban-rural integration builds a good social environment. Last but not the least, urban-rural integration creates more demand and tourists. Hence, urban-rural integration and sightseeing agriculture have a relationship of interaction. The previous theoretical analysis builds a foundation for the following empirical analysis.The second part of this dissertation includes chapter 3 and chapter 4. This part empirically analyses the interaction of urban-rural integration and sightseeing agriculture. Chapter 3 starts with an introduction for the situation of urban-rural integration and the development of sightseeing agriculture in Hanzhong City and follows an initial analysis. Chapter 4 uses econometric methods to analyze the interaction relationship of urban-rural integration and sightseeing agriculture based on relevant data from 2000 to 2014. The analysis results show equilibrium between sightseeing agriculture and urban-rural integration and reciprocally causing each other. This result prove that sightseeing agriculture is an effective method to achieve urban-rural integration and shorten the development difference between urban areas and those low growth rural areas with rich ecological resource. Meanwhile, propelling urban-rural integration also motivate the development of sightseeing agriculture, which echoes the mechanism analysis in chapter 2.The third part of this dissertation is chapter 5. In this part, several reasonable recommendations are posted based on the situation description and empirical analysis. In terms of sightseeing agriculture, firstly, the sightseeing products and services feature and quality should be reinforced. Secondly, the capability of staff and the management should be promoted. Thirdly, there should be a series of quality items. Brand awareness should be built as well. Meanwhile, government ought to support and create generous environment. Last but not the least, Internet platform should be built to boost both supply and demand information exchange. In terms of urban-rural integration, firstly, to shorten the absolute income difference of urban and rural residents by household registration system reform and inclusive financial system. Secondly, government should support and introduce society capital to increase the supply of public product in rural arrears. Thirdly, the pace of agricultural modernization should be accelerated. Last but not the least, urbanization should be based on current and local situation.The fourth part is chapter 6, which includes conclusion and perspective.The creative points of this dissertation is combining theoretical and empirical analysis to analyze the interacting relationship of urban-rural integration and sightseeing agriculture by taking Hanzhong City as example. This study may offer a practicable method for western low development rural area with rich ecological resource to shorten development difference, improve situation and promote urban-rural integration.
