Since entering twenty-first Century,the transition from industrial economy to service economy has gradually become the main direction of the development of the social industrial structure,and the service industry is becoming more and more obvious to the national economy.In recent years,Chinese service industry has achieved rapid development,but at the same time,the problem of environmental pollution has become increasingly serious.This not only affects the quality of life of Chinese residents,but also seriously restricts the efficiency of China's economic development.Based on this,it is necessary to further study the total factor productivity of China service industry under the influence of environmental pollution,so as to provide decision-making basis for Chinese economic growth,industrial upgrading and sustainable development.The paper based on the provincial panel data of 2000-2014,in the framework of the research of the total factor productivity,the environmental pollution factors——emissions of sulfur dioxide SO2 and chemical oxygen demand COD are included in the total factor productivity growth rate,using Malmquist-Luenberger index to calculate the environment total factor productivity of service industry,at the same time,in order to investigate the effects of environmental pollution on the service industry's total factor productivity,this paper also estimated the traditional total factor productivity which do not considering the environmental factors,and compare environment total factor productivity with traditional total factor productivity,and then the policy suggestions are given.This paper is divided into four chapters:The first chapter:introduction.The chapter mainly introduces the research background,significance,framework and domestic and foreign scholars on the research status of environmental TFP.In the comparative analysis of domestic and foreign literatures,we found that the current research results of TFP in China's service industry are relatively inadequate.The second chapter:basic theory,method and data processing.This chapter mainly studies the theoretical basis of total factor productivity.At first we makes a brief description of the concept of service industry and the concept of total factor productivity,and then summarizes the method of calculating the environmental total factor productivity growth rate——Malmquist-Luenberger index model.Finally,the input and output indicators are constructed to measure the environmental total factor productivity growth rate,and the source of the data is illustrated.The third chapter:an empirical analysis of environmental total factor productivity in the service industry.This chapter mainly studies the dynamic development trend,regional difference of service industry and in order to highlight the influence of environmental pollution on the growth rate of TFP service industry,the traditional TFP and environmental TFP are compared.The research found that the average growth rate of total factor productivity is 4.4%,technological progress is the main source of environmental total factor productivity growth rate,there is a difference in the total factor productivity growth rate of service industry in three major regions and their internal provinces,and after consideration of environmental pollution,service industry environment TFP average growth rate of 2.1 percentage points lower than the average growth rate of traditional TFP.In the fourth chapter:conclusion and suggestion.This chapter mainly analyzes the results of the previous analysis,and gets the relevant conclusions,and puts forward the corresponding policy recommendations for the conclusions.There are two possible innovations in this paper:First,Using the latest statistics,as detailed as possible to arrangement the service industry added value,the number of people employed,and the pollution discharged in 2000-2014 yeas of Chinese provinces,as far as possible to estimate the capital stock of the service industry in the provinces.Second,novel angle.Due to the current research on environmental TFP mainly concentrated in the industrial,agricultural and industrial sectors,with the service industry as the object of the research results are few,and for the Chinese service industry environment TFP research results are few.Therefore,this article from the perspective of sustainable development,to study the China's service industry environment TFP growth rate,to fill the gap in the domestic research on the service industry environment TFP growth.
