With the slackening domestic demand of electricity and implementation of China's"going global" strategy,more and more electric power enterprises begin to actively participate in international economic and technical cooperation,constantly expand the international market,foreign investment and transnational business.Electric power engineering and consulting companies are also associated with rapid growth of overseas business,opened up the process of internationalization.But in the process of internationalization,China electric power engineering and consulting companies not only to meet the challenges of the overseas competition in the electric power market,but also to face the optimization of its own management system and corporate governance structure.In this paper,the strategical development of XYZ company was systemic studied based on theoretical research and the author's working practice.XYZ company is the industry's leading supplier of electric power design consulting and engineering construction services,offering omni-directional services to the whole industry chain.Now XYZ company has the qualification of comprehensive engineering design and import and export right of the foreign economic and technological cooperation.At present,international market development of the XYZ company was still in the stage of rapid development.It's international projects are mainly distributed in central and south America,Africa.south Asia and southeast Asia.It's implementation methods are divided into planning and consulting,surveying and designing and general contracting.There are still many deficiencies in XYZ company's overseas business,such as its layout in the international power market,the development model,organization structure and other aspects.According to the analysis of company's internal and external environment,this paper used the SWOT analysis method to consider the competitive advantage and disadvantage,external opportunities and threats,which provided the basis for selection of internationalization strategy.This paper provided a method for the selection of international electric power market.It studied about 20 Chinese leading electric power engineering and consulting companies,analysed their overseas market distribution.Based on the layout of XYZ company's international power market,11 key target markets were selected.Elasticity coefficient analysis,country risk analysis and regional analysis were integrated used to select target markets,and suggestions of development strategy were given in this paper.This paper also elaborated measures to ensure the smooth implementation of XYZ company's internationalization strategy.Such contents include:cultivating multinational enterprise culture,optimizing organization structure,strengthening the construction of international market development mechanism;speeding up the international cultivation of talents to ensure the international market development strategy;adopting advanced international standardization to enhance the international competitiveness;strengthening international project risk assessment,improving risk control ability.At the end of this paper,the research direction and application were discussed,which providing valuable reference for other Chinese electric power engineering and consulting companies.
