| In the 30 years of reform and opening-up,the support of the country has been continuously strengthened in the border areas. In addition, because of the resource endowments and geographical advantages, the border areas have been greatly improved, but still lagged behind the coastal and inland areas. It is beneficial to the coordinated development of the regional economy and the improvement of the level of the open economy in China to guide the frontier region and the coastal and inland areas to open up each other’s advantages. Therefore,Therefore,it is very important to summarize and analyze the opening mode of the border area and find the factors that affect the opening of the border to explore the new model of border opening and accelerate the economic development of the border region. In this paper, the spatial pattern of the border area is analyzed by exploratory spatial data analysis(ESDA).It is found that the spatial correlation of the economic development along the border area is positively correlated, and the spatial interaction between the regions is strong, but the overall trend is fluctuating.Furthermore, the five main models of border development(border trade, trade channel type, industrial agglomeration type, twin city type and cross-border economic cooperation zone type)are summarized from the aspects of implications, typical case, formation mechanism and so on.However, the formation of each open mode is the result of many factors, among them, the geographical environment, regional culture, the government and external shocks have an important impact on the formation of the open model. And by using the principal component analysis method, the cross sectional data of 45 cities along the border are used to analyze the economic strength and the factors that affect the opening of the border area.It is found that the economic vitality of the border areas and the degree of urbanization have a greater impact on the opening of the border. The border region should enhance self-development capability, which makes the combination of self-development and government to achieve the economic development of the border region. |
