In history, the Fujian region (including Taiwan) because of its special historical and geographical environment, camphor prosperous for the production of camphor provides excellent resources. After the Opening of the late Qing Dynasty in Fuzhou, with the surge in foreign trade, Fujian inevitably be involved in the capitalist world market, camphor production and export trade began to flourish. In just ten years during 1900-1911, due to the influence of external factors, Fujian camphor trade ushered in the explosive development. Fujian local governments on the one hand forced by financial pressure, on the one hand to encourage policies to support industrial and commercial development in the subject, and actively explore the financial resources, the main export commodities Customs Fujian camphor included the management of the monopoly system, and this will inevitably continue China to deepen economic aggression, attempt to monopolize China merchandise trade of Western powers conflict, both sides are trying to grasp the initiative camphor trade. Meanwhile, among the Western powers, the Qing government and the private sector, and civil society but also because foreign trade and camphor produced a variety of contradictions.
