Research On The Food Price Index Based On The Price Index Spatial CPD Mode

The food price is closely related to our life and Food Price Index can reflect the national economic development.This article does research about the spatial Food Price Index with the country product dummy(CPD)model.I use the food price of September,2015 and the items of food that I choose are from the center list of International Comparison Program(ICP).Firstly,this paper puts the food price to a spatial test,and finds the significant spatial correlation.Secondly,on the foundation of traditional CPD model,I introduce geometric errors or spatial lagged terms into this paper and establish the spatial CPD model.At the same time,I compare the new model with the old one.Lastly,the last part is about application of the spatial Food Price Index.This article is divided into five chapters.The first chapter is introduction.It mainly introduces the background of this paper and elaborates the significance of research.In addition,it briefly explains the innovation and structure of this paper.The second chapter is about the theory of Food Price Index and spatial CPD model,including the traditional CPD model and spatial CPD model.It's mainly about the study of Food Price Index and spatial Food Price Index.In addition,it's about the summary description about the knowledge of the spatial econometrics.The third chapter is about statistical description of food price and the test of spatial properties.It's mainly about the statistical description of food classification,source and price.What's more,it also tests the properties of spatial Food Price.The fourth chapter is the estimation and application of the spatial Food Price Index.This chapter is the part of positive analysis and it's the most important part.The first quarter mainly calculates the spatial Food Price Index through the traditional CPD model after brief introduction of the traditional CPD model.In the second quarter,it introduces and tests the spatial CPD model to state that the spatial effect can be eliminated.And it also summarizes the new spatial Food Price Index.In the third quarter,it mainly compares the traditional CPD model with the spatial CPD model to show the strength of the second one.Lastly,this chapter shows some application of the spatial CPD model that calculated,such as to study the difference level of food price and to analyze the correlation of the food price and income among district.The last chapter is about the conclusion,suggestion and prospect.It mainly summarizes the research conclusions and offers a proposal.In addition,it shortly states the limitation of this paper and prospects the future development about it.The innovative of this article is about three points.Firstly,on the basis of the previous research,this paper plays a guidance role of spatial Food Price Index.Secondly,when calculating the spatial Food Price Index,this paper classifies the food by bean products,oil,meat,eggs,aquatic products,vegetables,fruit and grain,and analyzes and calculates the price index of each group.Thirdly,this paper uses the method of purchasing power parity and CPD when calculating the spatial Food Price Index.In addition,I find the space effect of food price when studying it and combining with previous research.The space effect of food price means the mutual effect with district.This paper establishes the spatial CPD model,on the basis of traditional CPD model,using the knowledge of the spatial econometrics.What's more,this paper also establishes a new spatial Food Price Index and Eliminates the space effect.In this paper,making use of spatial econometrics is the biggest innovative point.The inadequacy of this paper is that the system of data collection is uncompleted.As a result,I only can find 23 basic food prices when studying the spatial Food Price Index.Actually,it's not good enough for this kind of study.It may bring some allowable error in this paper but the overall result is undisputed.In addition,I set the neighbor range as spatial weight matrix when establishing the spatial model.We know that the spatial model includes the spatial distance of weight matrix and economic distance of weight matrix.So we can use the economic distance of weight matrix as spatial weight matrix when modeling and analyzing.The outcome may be more accurate.This aspect of study is for the later generations.
