This study investigates Saudi Arabia's 2006 stock market crash. The problem from which the thesis sets out is that, except for a few academic researches,a few pronouncements by Saudi officials in addition to the launching of legal charges by the Saudi Capital Market Authority(CMA)of Tadawul All Shares Index(TASI)had taken years after the crash incident.Otherwise, the real cause of the 2006 stock market crash, has to be inferred and deducted from CMA actions and endorsement against Tadawul All Shares Index(TASI)during the crisis to uncover the 2006 puzzle.Tadawul All Shares Index(TASI)can be described as very young stock exchange agency whose history dates back to 1993.However,despite this TASI young age,it has experienced several crashes between 1993-2016,as TASI general price index witnessed six major collapses during the years 1986,1990,1993,1994,1998,2006,and 2008.Indeed the issue was widely discussed in several forms of literature and sources, but without sequence as of which among the factors could be blamed the most. The 2006 Saudi stock market TASI general price index crash included the lowest of 7,500 point level which represents around a 52%fall was certainly under special circumstances. However, because of socio-economic environmoment and nature of the event,a fresh and deeper insight on the psychological, educational and other behavioral nature of Saudi Arabia's population, which this study attempts to achieve.
