With the transformation of China's economy, most enterprises will face increasingly fierce competition. On the one hand,it may threaten the survival of the enterprises,on the other hand,it may also bring more opportunities. In the changing environment, balancing the exploitative and explorative innovations is a very important thing for those enterprises which want to succeed in current and future competitions. Those enterprises not only need to conduct the exploitative innovation under restrict condition, but also need to conduct the explorative innovation for the sake of acquiring constantly competitive advantage. However, the different paths and ability request of two innovations may make the enterprise get into the innovation dilemma.Recently, most of domestic researches consider the exploitative innovation and explorative innovation as two independent concepts. Therefore, few scholars directly study the strategy for balancing the exploitative and explorative innovations.By re-examining the development of the theory of exploitative and explorative innovations, the thesis find a problem in recent researches that a lot of scholars overemphasize synergistic effect of the exploitative and explorative innovations, instead of paying attention to the influences from the external environment and resources. Therefore, they neglected another ambidexterity strategy of exploitative and explorative innovations:punctuated equilibrium.Actually,in recent days, with the small and medium-sized start-ups dominating in China, the competitive effect of exploitative and explorative innovations will attract people's attentions.Consequently, the theory of the ambidexterity strategy of exploitative and explorative innovations restricted by external environment and internal resources and the impact of it on enterprise performance will be worthy of studying.Based on existing researches, this thesis mainly study the external and internal influence factors of ambidexterity strategy of exploitative and explorative innovations and impact of it on enterprise performance. The main problems are as followings:(1)What impact will the external and internal factors on ambidexterity strategy of exploitative and explorative innovations for companies?(2)What impact will the strategy on enterprise performance?Based on the theory of exploitative and explorative innovations, with the external environment and resource constraints as the breakthrough point, the thesis studies the reasons, that what role the restricts from external environment and resources play in the select of ambidexterity strategy of exploitative and explorative innovations. At the same time, the thesis studies the consequences, that the impact of strategy on enterprise performance.Through researching,we reveal the different influences of different selections of creative strategies on short-term and long-term performance for companies. In a word,we draw some conclusions as followings:(1)The dynamic of the external technology environment positively affects ambidexterity strategy of exploitative and explorative innovations for companies;(2)The external competitive environment has a positive impact on the ambidexterity strategy;(3)The uncertainty of external demand positively impacts on punctuated equilibrium;(4)The internal resource constraints positively affect punctuated equilibrium;(5)The ambidexterity strategy of exploitative and explorative innovations has a positive impact on short-term financial performance and long-term competitive advantage for companies;(6)Punctuated equilibrium positively affects short-term financial performance, and negatively affects the long-term competitive advantage of enterprises.
