Analysis On The Changes And Influencing Factors Of International Competitiveness Of Manufacturing Industry In The South Africa

As the cornerstone of national economic development,manufacturing industry can promote economic development,and it is also an important guarantee. In the process of industrialization,the development of manufacturing industry is a country's eternal theme,if don't have a strong manufacturing system, any country can achieve the lasting economic prosperity. In the current global context,developing the manufacturing industry is to become the country to achieve national competitiveness of the highest strategy, such as "Made in China 2025", the United States "re-industrialization", Germany "Industrial 4.0" and so on. But in recent years, South Africa and other emerging economies,manufacturing industry has shown a downward trend. Therefore, the analysis of factors affecting the decline in the international competitiveness of South Africa's manufacturing industry is of great significance, not only for the development of the South African manufacturing, the South African economy, to enhance the international competitiveness of its manufacturing industry, but also for developing countries with similar conditions as South Africa.Based on the international competitiveness of manufacturing industry in South Africa, this paper analyzes the lessons of the international competitiveness of South African manufacturing industry on the basis of summarizing the domestic and international experts and scholars on the theory of international competitiveness of industry, analyzes the international manufacturing competition research system, and has a great theoretical significance, which will provide a new perspective for the study of the international competitiveness of South Africa and China's manufacturing trade, and provide some theoretical reference for the promotion of export trade and competitiveness of manufacturing industry. In addition, the research of this paper has great practical significance, to enhance a country's international competitiveness of the manufacturing industry, and it will bring a huge role to enhance the country's economic development,therefore,it's of a greater need to analyze the South African manufacturing industry's international competitiveness. And it's of strategic significance for the optimization of South Africa and China's manufacturing industry structure, promoting the transformation and upgrading of manufacturing industry.This paper divides into five parts. The introduction introduces the background and significance of this thesis, and summarizes the theories of international competitiveness of domestic and foreign experts and scholars on the manufacturing industry, and determines the research contents,framework,ideas and methods of this paper. The first section chiefly introduces the connotation of the international competitiveness of the industry,the related theory and its influencing factors,and lays the theoretical foundation for the article. The second chapter mainly analyzes the trend of international competitiveness of manufacturing industry in South Africa and points out the existing problems. The third chapter analyzes the international competitiveness of South Africa's manufacturing industry, mainly choosing labor productivity, service added value ratio,capital output rate, net inflow of FDI, per capita GDP, patent application, R& D investment, container terminal throughput Eight variables were analyzed for regression.The fourth chapter is the conclusion and lessons learned and provides some related policy recommendations.
