In recent years,inter-bank bill market,which is based on commercial bill,has achieved rapid development.Bill business has played an essential role in the aspects of promoting the entity economy development,widening the financing channels for enterprises,improving bank operating performance,as well as perfecting monetary policy transmission,etc.Under the current background of economic new normal and interest rate liberalization,interest spreads of deposit and loan has been decreased and bad loans has been rebounded.As a low-risk commercial tool,bill business has been a significant means to expand income sources and improve profitability,which has been paid extensively attention among commercial banks.Currently,e-bill has been increasingly prevalent and bill exchanges are also to be set up.Under the new situation of high risk,strengthened supervision and fierce competition in bill market,only when commercial banks combine their actual bill business to develop effective competitive strategies,they can better respond to market competition.City commercial banks belong to the Third Echelon of competitive markets of bill business,and most of its bill business lacks a clear strategic positioning.It mainly imitates and follows state-owned and joint-stock banks' strategy,lacking of effective core competence.Thus,this thesis studies the competitive strategy and implementation approach of J Bank's bill business,which will have great theoretical and practical significance,as well as giving references and inspirations to other city commercial banks.On the basis of relevant management theories,this thesis,combining the situation of J Bank,systematically explores its choice and implementation of competitive strategy in bill business.To start with,it comprehensively analyzes the basic status and existing problems of bill business in J Bank;secondly,through PESTEL analysis method and Five Force Model,it fully discusses the external macro environment and industry environment of bill business in commercial banks;meanwhile,it systematically analyzes the existing resources and capacity of bill business in J Bank;then,it uses SWOT analysis method to explore J Bank's strengths,weaknesses,opportunities and threats on bill business development;after analyzing the applicable conditions and features of centralized differentiation strategy,it suggests that the competition strategy of bill business in J Bank is centralized differentiation strategy.Finally,this thesis proposes strategic implementation plans and approaches with the practice of J Bank,mainly including the reconstruction of organizational structure,product integration,customer segmentation management,brand management,performance evaluation management,product innovation,technical research and development,as well as risk prevention.
